Edibles How much to make out of 1/2 lb butter

I usually use 1-1.5 ounces of dried plant trim to make butter(1/2 lb or 2 sticks) and never learn my lesson - usually about 1/4 of flower thrown in too. It always ends up being extremely potent and I can never get the cookies to be small enough to make dosing easier. I thought I was just a lightweight cause I don’t smoke and hardly do edibles anymore. But even my most seasoned friends think I’m trying to kill them every time I make a batch and tell them “I don’t think they’re as strong this time” lol

Is 1.5 oz for 1/2 lb too much? The plants the trim comes from are really, really good plants that produce amazing bud. Not sure what kind it is, I’ve just been growing it by the garden full ever since my neighbor came over with a couple of clones a decade ago and he’s been back with more every year since.

I always make chocolate chip cookies, maybe I’m just bad at making them small? I usually go by the recommended 1” balls the packages say to do, then rip them in half and end up with a ton of cookies, not sure how many it makes exactly. I’ve been skeptical on making them smaller as I feel they won’t cook right or will just burn - any input on less than 1/2” cookies? Lol

Is it alright to add regular butter to the cannabutter to make it a little less potent, or is that going to fuck something up?

Any suggestions would be great. I know having strong ass edibles isn’t really a bad problem to have, but it does making dosing hard when I don’t want to get super fucking baked every time and even 1/4 of one of these bad boys puts me on the moon for like 8 hours.

But I looked up mixing regular butter with it and google OK’d it so I tried it, as well as making them super small. I’m either still gonna be super duper extra fried or I won’t feel shit off of one. Hopefully the latter, wouldn’t mind having to eat 2 instead of like an 1/8 of one lol
 
Making cookies is just unnecessary. It makes you have to eat a cookie to get high and it makes cookies taste like crap. Make the most concentrated butter possible and swallow cold like a pill.

But to answer your question: Diluting with regular butter is completely fine and will not fuck anything up.
 
the dosing is why i prefer cupcakes for edibles they are easier to produce to whatever size you want , yes you can dilute with normal butter
