Heroin Making heroin?

So i wanted to ask what is lab made heroin without the opium poppy is it possible to synthesize it withouth the opium poppy juice or opium like ive heard of synthetic lab made heroin whats that all about?!?

Score Papiveir Somniferum (opium poppy) to get milk of the poppy
Scrape gooey sap in tool and gather sacks of gummy crude opium alkaloids
Boil/refine into a crude morphine base

Sell morphine base to vendors who then traffic to Heroin refineries in Turkey, Golden Triangle, Afghanistan, etc

Morphine base is reacted with Acetic Anhydride (most essential precursor to synthesize Heroin) to yield Diacetylmorphine (Heroin base)
Concentrated Hydrochloric Acid, Ether, etc and reacted with Diacetylmorphine base to yield the water soluable hydrochloride salt.


Diacetylmorphine Hydrochloride (Heroin) - Diamorphine (Pharmaceutical grade Heroin)

d-Desoxyephedrine Hydrochloride (Methamphetamine) - Desoxyn & Methedrine (pharmaceutical d-Meth)

But i feel different when i tried that as in there was no bitterness was it too pure and chemically speaking if we make pure heroin from poppy and synthesize it artificially they are one in the same thing right no difference .

Cause i remember once some canadian guy selling it as lab made diacetylmorphine

I guess when you smoke one batch you get used to its taste and something different has a differnt feel to the mouth.

Acetic anhydride is the most important precursor chemical to Acetylate the 3 and 6 positions of Morphine skelatal structure…..yielding 3,6-Diacetylmorphine…and in its water soluable Hydrochloride salt.
