How many HARDCORE DRUG USERS like to eat goldfish crackers

I haven't actually used any drugs since acid at a rave like 3 weeks ago or so but I've recently contemplated smoking weed or drinking or doing 2c-b, if I can get it. Curiously, I've also been thinking a lot about goldfish crackers and how I haven't had them in months and would like to eat some soon. Has anybody else noticed this pattern?

Dude sorry to bust your Walmart bag, but your not doing HARDCORE DRUGS . I'm not putting you down but if you call your stuff HARDCORE, oh boy . If you would have seen me before Feb 21, 2024 I would have gave you P.T.S. and had NIGHTMARES for days by just seeing the shit I put in my body . Don't do drugs .

Don't do drugs
An odd thing to say in a forum called "Drug Culture". It's been a long time since just say no was at the forefront of harm reduction education.

Is there an legal or technical distinction between a hard or soft drug? It can be agreed that some drugs have a greater potential for harm than others, take Prof David Nutt's drug harm chart (linky) which can viewed in this paper, but the potential for harm is more nuanced than lumping drugs into two categories.

Sounds like you've been through some shit. You may however be surprised by how many members of this community can relate to such experiences. We have people here who have struggled with addiction for decades -many for most of their lives- that have seen things many of us could scarcely imagine.

We tend to focus on more lighthearted discussion in DC but please take the time to explore the other boards including The Dark Side and Health and Recovery where you will find people freely discussing the negative aspects of their drug use in a supportive environment.

Welcome to bluelight :)

You've only been to rehab once? That's not very HARDCORE brah. I had already been through every level of institution before age 18.

But yeah, we don't flex our own self harm to others here. Doing a lot of drugs isn't some sort of achievement. The only true achievement regarding hard drugs is getting off them and maintaining sobriety. Congrats for that! :)

I propose that alcohol is the hardest drug there is, within how I semantically define "hard" vs "soft" drugs. I would also die on that hill.

Many people would scoff at that, but I would question their own definition of the phrase.

and I say that as a reformed speedballer who loved meth and was on H for 10 years.

If you were to ask me I would say that alcohol is probably the most harmful recreational drug to have ever existed. Most of the available data supports this if you look at in terms of deaths or hospital admissions where alcohol has been implicated, not to mention other social harms such as crimes commited under the influence of or things like drink driving etc.

How much of this is down to the inherent dangers of alcohol itself and how much should be attributed to the wide availability and social acceptability of alcohol consumption is up for debate.

This is how I would loosely define a "hard drug":

- Can you acutely OD and die? ☑️
- Can it kill you or others by causing dangerous behavior? ☑️
- Can it induce psychosis? ☑️
- Does it cause brain damage? ☑️
- Is it toxic to your other organs? ☑️
- Is it highly addictive? ☑️
- Can the withdrawal kill you? ☑️
- Does it cause respiratory depression? ☑️
- Can it harm a growing fetus? ☑️
- Can it induce rage or other extreme emotional states? ☑️

.... and alcohol is the only drug that checks all those boxes. No other commonly used drug does.

Also, something like 60% of homicides in the US involve one or more people with alcohol in their system. Not a lot of people know that.

And not to mention alcohol is also a class 1 carcinogen associated with a myriad of different cancers.

It's a nasty shit.

I don't eat much junk food type snacks, and I don't have a sweet tooth at all, but when I sober up I usually drink a lot of soda and other snacks.

Food cravings work from the same reward pathways in the brain as drugs. It's very common for the two to be associated in some way for people.

Sorry your thread went a little off topic.

Welcome to BL :)

Another thing; 2C-B has got to be my favourite drug to eat on it makes things taste unimaginably delicious. I have no appetite 90% of the time on any other psychedelic but 2C-B I always end up pigging out.

Eating on acid can be incredibly sensual but it'll be more like a few grapes or a couple for the flavours but I couldn't eat a full meal.

If you have enough un-necrotic fingers to type a message on a computer, I'm sorry but you're probably as much of a poser as me.
