I like seeing more studies like this. I myself personally would be willing to participate in most I've seen and probably for free unless it consumed a huge amount of my personal time then small bit of money might be helpful.
Let us know if you end up participating - you can click on the entry survey in the original post.

Hi everyone. We've had this project promoted across the sites for a few months but haven't had many leads for Dynamicare.

This could be for many different reasons... so we are keen to know more about why you might not want to do this study.

E.g. You might be in scope (experiencing some problems with opioids and residing in the US) but not wanting to quit or slow down? Or not keen on an app? Or maybe you never noticed the ad in the first place? Or something else?

Or maybe you are using opioids but having no issues with them - I know this is not often discussed, but it is possible to occasionally engage in opioid use.

Well, I don't live in the US, so I can't do it, even if I wanted. I'm sure there's an abundance of people here In the same boat.

I went and checked it out anyways.

Biggest reasons I could see someone not wanting to/being a viable lead are:

1) The obvious, and already mentioned. Just not being in the right part of the world to qualify.

2) The 1st link that specifically says it leads to a short survey isn't really even to a survey, more of a "why am I signing up" thing, and it starts immediately with "I am seeking help for..." (when chances are the people clicking it, aren't particularly "seeking help") The 2nd link that says it leads to "more information" ***is*** an actual link for a survey.

3) It quite literally costs money - real life, worked for, hard earned, cold cash - to join the website.

4) It needs you to call a phone number and talk to whoever about things, rather than being an online, easy to sign up for program.

Thanks a lot for sharing your observations. I've shared these with the people who run the study.

On point 3, I'm confused on that. I thought they were giving the participants money to use the app. :)

Response from the researchers:

Apologies for the delayed response, and thank you for the update. We don't charge any fees for joining our studies. Please share this link: https://study.dynamicarehealth.com/oudstudy/ on your forum. It contains all the information your members need to book a session with our admissions team to determine eligibility.

Did this already start? And if so, does that mean its 'closed' and can no longer be joined?
I have not yet clicked any of the links above, which i will check out in a bit. But I saw the 4/22/24- 4/22/25 dates.... but also see it was postponed.
This is something i would consider participating in, if its private and not too terribly intrusive... but thats not a huge deal really. And getting paid for it is also a great thing.!
also is there a way to tell how many participants they have been able to gather?
From the looks of it, on here atleast, not that many people were/ are willing.... is that the reason for the postponement?

It has strong viewing numbers? How did you come to the conclusion that people aren't participating?

I just meant I only saw a few responses in this particular thread is all. Which doesnt mean much of anything for the study itself.
sorry Im a bit "new" to actually posting on BL, been on and off a visitor for maybe.... 15+ years i think. finally got the courage to join and post. Not the most social of people honestly.
I am going to take a look
I’m fairly sure this study is still seeking participants. Complete the survey to see if you are eligible.
Thank you for letting me know. I would not have checked back on this thread if it was not for you answering my question. Hopefully I qualify (i think) hahaha
