Opioids methadone with low(ish) opioid tolerance?

what should the effects of 10mg methadone look like for someone with somewhat low tolerance? I've only ever (recreationally) done lortab and kratom, high kratom tolerance, 5mg of lortab is disappointing.

Well, if you're on kratom it has a different tolerance and fucks with full agonists ability to properly bind so its hard to say.

I just got off methadone after 4 years, if your withdrawing from just kratom I would avoid methadone at all costs. Then again it depends how your tolerance. When I did kratom my tolerance got high really fast. Good lucj!

The first time I tried methadone, I was far from opiate naive but was heavily cautioned not to take more than one until it kicked in so I wouldn’t take too much. The person explaining it never elaborated further and after a couple hours of waiting and it never kicking in, I took 2 more thinking my tolerance was too high for 10mg. It was, in fact, not. The first pill really started kicking in within minutes of swallowing the other 2 and I realized I probably fucked up, but fucking up has been my life’s MO so I just rode it out. I was nowhere near my peak opiate tolerance but let me tell you I was shocked when I found out how bad 30mg of methadone could put me down.

I used to think I was educated well enough in drug use, and I clearly wasn’t lol. There also wasn’t any real useful internet on our phones then, so while I was out and about per usual it was kinda hard to load up blue light or DF and look it up

Yes, great long acting potent opioid agonist. Methadone is a very highly regarded opioid, and is very pleasurable capable of inducing euphoria. Very effective for chronic pain. Analgesic properties lasting 6/8/10 hours and an average half life of 24 hours. 1 hour onset.

I’ve been on oral Methadone 100mg for 7+ years and a very effective opioid

Diacetylmorphine & Hydromorphone fully substitute for each other in clinic studies ….Diamorphine has stringent licensing requirements while injectable Hydromorphone is readily available and slightly more potent than Diacetylmorphine

This is one of the few opioids I have not tried. I would love to get some. It's kind of legendary in its status.

Methadone is very good and very useful. It's definitely worth being wary with it as the story that Cult315 told above is quite a common tale for inexperienced users.

Yeeesssss......30mg Methadone is what they start heroin addicts on to be safe, then increase until they're comfortable free from withdrawal and cravings

30mg would ROCK someone......even 10mg would suffice ....it took me 15 years to work up to 100mg - 125mg of Methadone daily

My first 30mg oral drink gave me a beautiful warmth, euphoric relaxing pleasure that lasted all day. Prior I was on high dose Oxycodone (4 - 80mg sometimes, Dilaudid 30mg + Hydromorph-Contin 9mg XR plus Dilaudid 2mg x 6) but months script gone in 2 weeks

Methadone is very effective for chronic pain. 75mg in morning .....50mg after dinner. 125 daily... .plus Ritalin (Methylphenidate) 50-100mg to combat sedation and enhance analgesic properties of the Opioid

Not as stimulating or euphoric as heroin, tramadol or the codones for me, but there's definitely a nice warm blanket feeling to it. Even gave me a little nod. Lasted quite awhile. It's been many years though since I tried it.

I remember around that time I got to try some expired propoxyphene (Darvocet). A lot of people shit on darvocet (and maybe for good reason). It has a cardiotoxic metabolite so it was discontinued. But I took a couple of them with no tolerance & they had me nodding & feeling pretty good in a similar way to methadone.

Any opioid can be enjoyable if your tolerance permits it honestly.

I have yet to try oxymorphone/hydromorphone, but they're on my bucket list before my soul leaves this plane of existence.

Propoxyphene was one of my first loves, it’s rare you even hear about it. My buddies grandma threw away like 7-8 unused BIG bottles all full, and I took em all lol. I experienced what I thought was my first OD on them actually. I was fine though

Yeah one of my close friends one day found a bottle of old darvocet in her moms basement & took them. I think darvocet got banned in the US around like 2009 or 2010 maybe? And this was in 2016, so they were totally expired, but still good.

I had just come down from a huge DXM trip one night & my friend came over & she hooked me up with a handful of these pills. They were really huge, brownish red oval pills. I think I took a few orally & snorted a couple & I nodded out pretty damn good. I don't remember much histamine release (itching) or anything, but I had one hell of a nap after the buzz wore off. Had all the other enjoyable effects I like from opioids. It also had a very unique dreamy characteristic that I haven't felt on any other opioid, although it could've just been the comedown from the DXM paired with the darvocet, but I found them very recreational & enjoyable. So I'm not sure why it gets so much hate, besides the whole cardiotoxicity thing lol. Sure it's not very potent & it's no heroin, but it wasn't a horrible opioid either from my experience.

Oxymorphone is AMAZING, I was getting the G74 generic opana from global pharma in 2017 before they stopped making in United States and shaved the outer layer to the white middle into powder snort it , it gelled up in your nose just suck down like snot lol I know gross but 3 mins your high AF

What would you compare oxymorphone to? Is it long lasting? Stimulating?
I know they say oxycodone is stimulating, but hell I find all opioids stimulating in their own ways. Even heroin was stimulating. lol


There's so many opioids I have yet to try. I've been stuck with shitty buprenorphine everyday the last several years. Bupe makes me wanna repeatedly bash my head into a wall due to how much it fucking sucks.

Recently got to try some tapentadol. It wasn't too bad, but I think tramadol is still better than tapentadol. And I just miss good ol' brown heroin. But I'd love to give oxy & hydro-morphone a try. Maybe I'll get lucky some how before I die. lol

10 won’t be enough. 20 to 30 will get you off.

I’d start with 20. No other drugs added.

10’will just put a little pep in your step but no true opioid high with sedation

ain't tollerance to ipies in thre moment(exceept some trams),but 20mg methadone would give nice long asting buzz forsure....but not dare to touch'em....slowly it could grab u hard.....so very careful with recreational methadone-this a powerful drug
