Tapentadol and Stimulants?

Hi bluelight, I am already aware of the risks of combining stimulants and depressants, specifically dosing too much of whatever depressant (which in my case is an opioid) and then running into trouble once the stimulant wears off. I am not new to combining opioids and depressants in general with CNS stimulants, and have combined them many times in the past. However, tapentadol is an interesting example of a depressant because it isn't merely a mu opioid receptor agonist, but also has NRI activity. The NRI activity of tapentadol makes combining tapentadol with stimulants unwise because it could potentially lead to serotonin syndrome and seizures, as tapentadol like tramadol does lower seizure threshold (albeit these risks are greater with tramadol than they are with tapentadol). Does anyone have experience combining tapentadol with stimulants, and if so what was the experience like?

Yeah for the most part stimulants function as reuptake inhibitors of multiple monoamines, so I wouldn't recommend or risk combing the two.

Also feel like mentioning that I'm not going to combine stimulants with tapentadol. However, how long should one wait after coming down from a stimulant, say oral methamphetamine, should one wait before dosing tapentadol to minimize the possibility of seizure/serotonin syndrome?

And for stimulants that act as releasers of monoamines, like amphetamines (dextroamphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, etc.) I'm assuming that the risk still applies right? Because combining a stimulant that functions as an NDRI with a stimulant that acts by releasing dopamine still carries the risks of cardiotoxicity, neurotoxicity, etc.

To be safe I would say at least a day, though I do not have experience. I wouldn't do it personally because they both lower the seizure threshold, and without an anticonvulsant I think the stimulant properties of either substance would make me more anxious about it. It may not be as dangerous as I make it out to be, but it's just not worth it, imo.

Tapentadol has short (relatively) half-life but i would not do meth any faster than 12-16 hrs after last dose of tapentadol. IT could be done without harm even at the same time but u would need anticonvulsant with no psychoactive properties and benzos. Do not do it. I suffered 1-2 seizures after doing tram + meth ( not even high dose of tram, max 450mg ) . Meth + these two opioids i would say, wait for 12-16hrs after tapentadol and 24hrs after tramadol. Tapentadol + tramadol = too many stimulating and even psychedelic symptoms of too much CNS activity to handle.

One additional thing = Long times ago tramadol felt exactly like meth to me. Except noddy feelings after first 4-6 hours of almost MDMA - like empathy, prosocial behaviour, stimulating.
Now i take in because it works best for my pain (tried almost everything, right now have Oxy And tram combo in me).
WD Is brutal, i need huge dose of tram or even Oxy And by that i mean, without benzos and levetiracetam i would die long time ago And my daily life Is struggle (fcked health from huge doses of opioids, opiates, benzos, meth....).

I spent pretty much all of high school on 30-90mg of adderall and over a gram of tramadol daily. When I ran out of adderall I usually got E pills if I could find them, otherwise I’d get some coke. The tramadol never ended though, during that timeframe anyway. I ate up what could have been a lifetime supply in a few years. Don’t think I ever suffered from serotonin syndrome and never had a seizure. Guess I’m just a better man jk I’m just fuckin lucky I guess. Bet if I’d done meth back then I’d have a different story

When I got arrested after high school which led to an outpatient rehab the drug counselor took a look at my sheet when I gave it back to him and just said there’s no need to “over exaggerate”

U are like me, except completely different i used meth instead of adderall and suffered 20+ seizures :D
