Future #1 Marijuana.

As someone who works in the cannabis industry and has for a long time, most test results are total bullshit. Alot of lavs are pay to play. Think about it logically....if you're holding a nug in your hand, 37% thc means that 37% of what's in your hand is pure thc.

Please stop shopping based on thc %. The difference between a 27% and a 31% thc 8th is only roughly 100mgs of thc. The difference is negligible and you wont feel it. Use it as a very rough gauge and educate yourself about the minor cannabinoids and terpenes.....as those have a far greater influence on how your high will feel. Don't believe marketing. Rule number 1, your eyes and your nose don't lie. What looks right and smells right will smoke right. If you're searching thc%, get into dabs.

My ex, ex boss, Maroccan coffeshop holder some of the time had Kief, not usually so it was scarce. Didnt share either like he would with his finest hashish like polm (pressed pure Kief/ Cannabis essentially).

But he had the OG one, a mixture of trichomes and finely grinded homegrown Tobacco. After a hit he was super wasted, so it was potent.
The man was a vetereran concerning THC tolerance.

The Origins of Kief

As mentioned earlier, the term “kief” is derived from the Arabic word “kayf,” which translates to well-being or pleasure. Historically, kief was used in Morocco and other regions as a blend of cannabis and tobacco, typically smoked using hookahs. Over time, the term has evolved to refer specifically to the trichomes collected from the cannabis plant.

Don’t forget that THCA, when decarboxylated via heat will lose 12% weight.

So a 40% THCA will end up as 35.2% THC wt

Molecular weight THCA 358.5 g/mol
Molecular weight THC 314.45 g/mol

THCA converted to THC, or 314.45/358.5 = 0.877

The strongest weed I’ve purchased from a government 🇨🇦 was 36.45%, meaning the THCA 41.56% wt

At the start of legalization, the Cannabis labels had THCA/THC/CBDA/CBD and many other numbers. Consumers got confused, so the labelling changed (mostly). My niece still buys weed at 35% THCA over weed at 32% THC b/c 35 is larger than 32 (she never took high school chemistry and never went to university).

i add concentrate to my bowl packs and cough like a dumbshit for 20 minutes to two days lol... so it's not the thc that scares me. what are the terps %s on that stuff?

It seems the matter of elevated THC/CBD amounts resurfaces periodically and it saddens me partly because this is rooted in the int'l onusian 2nd Geneva Opium Convention of February 19th 1925 (...), e.g. declaring war to "Indian Hemp"/"Cannabis sativa L." beyond borders after the idea of criminals exploiting women & children as sex toys was used as some justification at the Société des Nations: they respect no borders. Worse, it's a reminescent effect of the Temperance Movement started over alcohol abuse, the one hard drug that's featured with true ADDICTION and co-morbidity: in short a war-of-the-sexes if you ask me! Then the rush for EASY MONEY, similar to that in El Dorado...

And each time i'm tempted again to refer to this simple graphic once published in a Leafly article, which i've enhanced to communicate in an even more obvious way, visually:

Those clusters are hints of man-made selection and it's about a few aspects of that same story. 1st, the twin horizontal group driven by THC, which was much easier to evaluate empirically in the past, resulting in THC-centric selection... Then there's the pair of buzz-denial groups caused by politi¢ization, judi¢iarization, medi¢alization, etc., much less dense quite possibly because it's a relatively new phenomenon revolving around so-called "balanced" 1:1 THC/CBD and Full-CBD - waiting for designer dope as from Aelis Farma (AEF0117) to take over. Ah, and finally, the area with no love: the less extreme ratios as 2:1, 3:1 or even 4:1, denying decent responsible customers alternate experiences no longer guided by extremes. Which translates as denaturation of a noble plant, so that's no reason to rejoice, only mourn the loss of historic opportunities.

All because no viable space made of honesty & respect is left between bigotry vs mer¢antili$m. They never know when to stop; and politi¢ian$ are the worse while they just can't avoid revealing themselves by all those places where they obstinately refuse to go...

So much for the "human" element. Objectively i figured the plant can't be expected to turn into a massive blob with no structure, made of monster trichome glands only. Lets face it, their diameter is genetically limited to 50 ~ 100 microns and there's a finite restriction on how much surface these will cover and yet remain coherent with dynamics of natural selection. Maybe some day soon in this present century there will be GMO that secretes the AEF0117 buzz-denial molecule all by itself and this could even appeal to the masses, but it won't be the cannabis i loved anymore.

Now that we've got a "legal" state MONOPOLY (serving the alcohol indu$try being a "filiale" of the SAQ...) in my $a¢rifi¢ed country, there should be health-wise non-extreme alternatives as the 2:1 THC/CBD zone for us to experiment, but it's been nearly 6 years now and we're still stuck in 4rd-party predatory models as THC-centric which fidelizes those most vulnerable, or 1:1 for the uncurable $i¢k 'n $ad, or even Full-CBD that is called "placebo" and yet over-billed/over-taxed just the same as THC-centric products.

* old man shuffles into room, grumbling *

Back in my day, there were 3 kinds of weed:
Colombian, Mexican, and homegrown.

Colombian was the best, it was $30/oz
Mexican was OK to decent, it was $20 to $30/oz
Homegrown was trash to OK, it was $10 to $15/oz

Once in a blue moon, you'd see Acapulco Gold, Panama Red, or Maui Wowie. All excellent, $30/oz

PS-- In the late 70s, good weed went up to $35/oz and I said why do people get so damn greedy?
When I heard of it going for as much as $45/oz, I said there is no weed in the fucking world worth 45 goddamn dollars an ounce!

Dude, I have no idea what the point of this post was. I've got friends that are some of the most famous high thc breeders in the world, and I also have friends that are working only with non-intoxicating/ high cannabinoid and rare-terpene focused plants. Both ideals exist In a money-making market.

Also, God bless harvest season. Strawberry diesel from a close friend's micro us looking outstanding

Also, having 4 different qualities and styles of traditional right now is dope. A buddy of mine and I made a batch of aged piatella

But that twelve percent, quite literally goes up in smoke, and then you inhale it, it doesnt just disappear. So you're still likely absorbing more THC from the 35% THCA weed if you're smoking it. I suppose not if you're eating it... but I doubt that's what your niece is doing with it. On that note you exhale like 70% of the thc you smoke unless you're holding it for a like a minute.

No, it doesn't disappear, that would piss off Einstein. It turns into oxygen, carbon, and various other pyrolitic products. The molecular weight that gets cleaved off is not psychoactive. Just atoms and smaller other molecules.
