The Longevity of Proper Storage

I just figured I'd share an anecdote based on a recent experience I had in conjunction with the proper storage of LSD and how long it can last.

In 2013, I was quite active on The Majestic Garden forum for quite some time. At that point, there were many great LSD vendors who regularly posted there and would often have giveaways within the forums. At times, giving away sheets and such mostly as a means of connecting with the community and, of course, wanting to make sales.

Long story short, I happened to be on the forum one morning and there was a contest taking place that, if won, would entail the winning of a page, yes, that's right, a page of blotter. I had known of this vendor and knew he had a reputation for selling HQ product, as I had purchased from him (?) previous to the contest. I was, naturally, highly suspicious of the idea that simply by posting the right post at the right time, I could yield a page of blotter.

Well, oddly enough, I won on that day. I recall being so paranoid and feeling like I could be being set up for something LE related. Anyway, after I had sent my info via encrypted message, as I recall the next day, I sent them a message saying that I had "changed my mind", and that I "didn't want" the prize anymore. Well, they said "Well, it's already on the way", which kind of freaked me out and made me want to clean my house from top to bottom. 3 days later, a mystery shipment showed up and there they were. It felt great because I was so freaked out at that point that I was ready for a controlled delivery or something.

Also, with this page, the vendor stated that he had 3 different crystals, and that I could choose one, two, or all three crystals in this rather massive load of blotter. The crystals, as described and marked by the vendor were 1) ALD-52, 2) White Fluff, and 3) what he called "California Needlepoint." Without getting into the whole crystal controversy here, I settled for 300 of each, which I am glad I did. And again, not to get into too deeply, but I have a lot of experience with many different varieties of L over the years, and yes...I have had so much experience with these three that I can absolutely tell the difference between the three variants. The ALD came on Pokemon paper, the White Fluff came on orange paper with yellow lightning bolts, and the Needlepoint came on paper that was a very elaborate purple, blue, deep red and black Egyptian Ankh motif.

Anyway, much was shared with friends, and much was put on ice (vacuum sealed and, in a climate-controlled, dark environment which maintained an average temp of 70 or so degrees year-round. And as I discovered, all of the blotters were, in fact, very high quality and potency, and varied in terms of effects in subtle ways. The biggest difference that was obvious to me was the difference between the ALD and the other two for obvious reasons. But I felt like I hit the psychedelic jackpot.

Well, anyway, even those these were laid almost 12 years ago, they haven't lost any potency that is noticeable to me.

Recent trip:

I only have 2 to 3 experiences per year due to a busy life and responsibilities, so I make them count. So recently, I set aside 2 days for myself and decided to take 3 tabs of the needlepoint. No tolerance to be had as I had not taken any psychedelics in about 6 months.

Consumed at 4pm: Come up began within 15 minutes and within 30 to 45, I knew they were kicking in and on coming on strong. Very comfortable come up, very little vasoconstriction, and felt very "clean" as they always have.

After settling in for a few hours with evolving, lovely OEVs, I put my headphones on and was treated to some of the most intense, vivid, colorful CEVs that were almost overwhelming at times, but spectacular. Very geometric, pink, orange and red matrices of morphing colors that evolved into incredible, increasing beauty and complexity with changes in the music, like endless and infinite colors that weaved themselves in and out of one another as a unified field. It was amazing, to say the least, and very comfortable. And there were moments that I really lost track of myself while in the dark, listening to music on HQ headphones, that I would find myself drifting off, forgetting that I was "human", and being startled by moving in and out of that type of headspace for a couple of hours. Went outside into the woods behind my house for a walk and a couple of smokes, and it was haunting and beautiful. Peaked at about the 5 to 6 hour mark, then a several hour comedown, aided by 500ug of Clonazolam that I keep around for such occasions, and ended up falling asleep at about 3am with the help of another 250 ug of Clon to top it off.

Anyway, the moral to the story is that despite the fact that these tabs were laid well over a decade ago, they have lost little to no potency and were outrageously good. And I do believe that being kept vacuum-sealed and properly stored for all these years was a major, contributing factor to their remaining potent.

All in all, chronicling this for me is just a way of both keeping tabs on the tabs, so to speak, and reporting the outcome in the name of the perennial question of "how long can blotter last." That would be "a very long time if stored properly." Vacuum sealers are your friend, my friends. And I do believe that proper storage is what it's all about. And, I don't have any reason to believe that they won't remain good for quite some years moving forward. And the greatest thing is that none of this cost me a dime, which is obviously good fortune and a once in a lifetime occurrence.

And ALD-52 , so sad when went of mainstream. Could easy tell them apart it and 1-p-LSD and Al-LAD.
The last my least favorite. And nothing till know ever matched ALD. Maybe Eth-LAD, its on hold till the moment is there.

And i ll know sometime, curiousity/ waiting is nice.

Congrats, man! Once in a lifetime opportunity! Sounds like some seriously clean and good acid also LOL :+) How are the "white fluff" tabs that you got also? Just wondering!

Really good, and all 3 seem to be the same in terms of potency. The Fluff mostly differed in terms of the visuals, as in, slightly less well defined overall, with a slight difference in geometry if you know what I mean. Also, there's something about the energy of that batch, and seemed somehow more playful and euphoric. It's subtle, but real. And when you have such a large supply and can do lots of them all, it's amazing how different they feel when you can replicate experiences with the same batches of blotter over years. Of course I get the "LSD is LSD", thing, and while I agree, I've had so many different crystals over the years that I can say that there are differences. This is after several decades of using psychedelics.

Thats so cool to hear !! :0 I always presumed Acid, as in, LSD as in Lysergic Acid Whatever not RCs/analogs, would feel roughly the same every time as long as its around the 99% pure range..

have you ever gotten body aches/back ache from LSD? and did your trips ever shorten or such? I used to get wicked body aches and vasoconstriction if the LSD wasnt around 99% purity, even 98% and my body would feel weird and sweaty and achy.

Yeah. I am a big fan of ALD for sure. Has a cleanliness and clarity for me that makes it unique. Interestingly enough, I have a sheet of ETH-LAD that has been on ice for quite a few years, I believe from the reptile, and have only done it once. That one time, it felt like the body load was a bit too much for me, and I was really nauseous. I also think that my psychedelics tolerance was a bit high at the time, so I took more than I should have, even knowing that there was a risk in terms of dosing with ETH-LAD. At some point, I'll revisit it when the time comes and I'll take a smaller dose to get a better feel for it. It also made me feel very dysregulated temperature wise, and it was like hot and cold like crazy on the come up. I also experience this with 4-ACO-DMT on the come up, which makes me dislike it a bit. But 4 ACO is pretty magical in its own right, and I probably have 2 grams of it on ice in an undisclosed location. LOL

Different substances, but no less fascinating was a US DoD experiment several years back now, where they checked upon the potency of many different drugs which had been in very long-term storage, including opiates and such, many of the tested drugs were "decades" passed their so-called expiration dates, and all but the anti-biotics were found to be just fine, after decades in storage!

Yes. Over the years, I have had batches that gave me achiness, more vasoconstriction, and sometimes nausea. Others, almost free of any negative side effects. I would put all three of these variations among the cleanest that I've had, at least in modern times. Right up there with **s tabs, really. In fact, this vendor was almost as well-known as ** for his product, and was very active on the DN as well as the MG forums. And I've done as many as 5 tabs of each when I really want to go deep, with no or little tolerance, and only then is the vasoconstriction more notable, for obvious reasons I'd say. I do believe that they are about 100ug in terms of dosage. If not, very close in my experience.

I will say that back in the 80s, the LSD that was circulating was insanely good, and you'd often get sent into outer space if you jumped in too deep before doing a trial run with them at a show, etc.. Back then, lots of the best LSD was **, on very thick blotter stock, and it seemed very freshly laid or more often than not, very potent in terms of what was laid on the paper. There was lots of other paper besides that which was good, but it seemed that the best of the best was often ** or thick, white stock with stars on them or some other small bit of art, but again, paper that was as white as the driven snow.

i was unfortunately not alive until 2002, so no note on the 80s lsd thing. However, i did get a 6 tab sample of ** fluff tabs one time in 2019 when a certain market was still up. popped 4 with no tolerance , had one of my top 3 cleanest trips. i made kandi, listened to spotify psychedelic rock playlists, overall just had a blast. it was white tabs also, pure fucking white., and i got the 6tabs for a PENNY. good fucking deal dawg.

the cleanest acid ive ever had was 2021, i got like... 5 free tabs from a dude, 125ug each supposedly. mixed 3 tabs with 60-80mg memantine (forgot dose), CLEANEST , BEST TRIP PROBABLY. no body aches except for when vasoconstriction hit and my calves started throbbing/aching for a bit. i remember sitting on the porch of my house chiefing bowl after bowl from the bong and rocking back and forth maniacally while listening to the same song on loop HA

The legal Dutch made analogues produced now, ime are better then that high-dosed early 90-ties blotters from the UK.

They are accurately dosed and evenly laid, to me it seems professional not having any true proof.
just based on the feel, they must be very well made.
