Collections of short stories froma 60s&70s heroin addict

Has anyone ever seen a collection of writing like this? i was reading the heroin stories of another brilliant writer on bluelight chinawhite? or something like that and had started reading these.

they were some short stories a guy had written of his life as a addict in new york i can't remember where i read them, if the guy had his own blog or something and my ocd will not let me forget it.

so please i know there are people who appreciate powerful drug addiction stories, and i'm hoping they've read this story or at least know a name or title i can use to google, does any one know this or am i ranting crazily?
 
I have quite a few friends who are older than me and using during the seventies. Theyve got some crazy fucking stories. My one friend who's now dead was around for the whole tango and cash stamp, and said he lost 20 friends during that time. The old school junky's are mad interesting.

Last exit to Brooklyn is a good book, but it's not junky exclusive. William Burroughs does some great shit, but he IS the pinnacle of intellectual dope fiend~ism.
 
I think I know exactly what you are talking about the guys name is Gizmo and he used to post on alt hard drugs I think it was called "the adventures of smacks past" not all of his stories survived but a lot of them where archived. omg thank you sooo much!!! I read all of these compulsively YEARS ago when I was just starting to use. I have looked for them numerous times over the years but never was able to find them again. I love hearing about how the scene was way back then, it just seems so much....better. But who knows.

I know that this thread is 10 years old and that this is a long shot but does anyone have a working link to or a copy of Gizmo's "the adventures of smacks past"? I read them way back in the day and I have been looking everywhere. I tried the links that noone1 posted but unfortunately they no longer work.

i have spent all day reading this. really investing and fascinating, the prices mentioned for heroin and other drugs + the fact it's mainly pure, with barely fent, makes this seem so much more interesting. a life I sure haven't and will never live (hopefully.), but such a fascinating one nonetheless. i'm not done and not all entries are archived, but it does work.

Oh my god i was wondering if he was still alive. Really glad he made it to 2015 at elast (still young!! i believe !!! but its like fucking. ughh. idk :( ) i saw the entries might stop around early/mis-2000s so i wasn't sure. RIP :(
