Life Advice. Stay away from the computer when your buzzed.

Maby I should have posted this in the "Drug Culture" section. Can someone move the thread ? Thanks.

Best thing to do when buzzed is just stay away from the computer because you start posting stupid shit. A better idea is to stick to listening to music. Otherwise you'll look at what you posted the next day and be like WTF ?
Maybe next time you want to get buzzed you read your own advices 😆
But don't worry
You didn't say anything bad, really.
What counts is that you had fun and you're fine now.

Oops... I got drunk again and went on the computer yesterday. I apologize for what ever I said.
Forget about it, your on Bluelight and you didn't cause trouble like Jean Paul Dash, he went crazy and harassed a lot of people, including me.

He got banned for a while.

I miss beer. Even though I was partial to cheap Ice beer and malt liquor( Steel Reserve 211, 40's, I miss them)

Ok, the first sip of beer I ever had was Miller high life. It was the only sip of that swill I can remember having.

Steel Reserve was good for malt liquor that is over 8% alcohol.

Natty or Beast Ice is great cheap beer.
Natural Ice is clean crisp refreshing and 1/3 stronger than most domestic non ice beer.
Milwaukee's Best Ice is similar but more flavor.

They can be bought in 30 packs and have 40 regular beers worth of alcohol.

Miller High Life is terrible, I was like 4 and I was like I know now I like beer, just not that 32oz of MHL off, of one sip. The only one I think I had.

Even that piss water Busch is better. It is not as bad as Shiltz Ice though, if they still make it.

I am grateful to the Lord for being allergic to alcohol now. But I drank because I loved alcohol. Not really any deeper reason, except I started drinking in the morning before I was 21 and got physically addicted.

I would run out of money, I am not a thief so I suffered withdrawals probably 200-300 times over 21 years. No benzos, usually, or anything else to help.

Those withdrawals got so bad after awhile, I am a lot tougher because of that 5 days of misery, no food, little sleep, and sometimes I couldn't keep liquids( water, powerade ect..) down. Then the psychological misery on top.

Malt liquor is made to get drunk off. It does it's job well. Miller High Life: The champagne of beers.🤣

Yeah like that bottle of $2.99 +tax bottle of champagne I bought once. Excuse me sparkling white wine.

Say what you want about that disgusting, Olde English 800( It is not even close to good enough to be called piss water). St. Ides sucks also. But Ice cold Steel Reserve 211 malt liquor is the Cristal of cheap strong 40's of malt liquor.

I would drink OE, hurricane, King Cobra, any of those things before drinking 211. It tastes like actual steel. The buzz I'd get from it is closer to being sick than to drunk. I don't know how it sells, probably the 8% abc point. I don't see any reason anyone would buy it beyond that. I'd rather drink something like Miller that is more light or whatever, than something that I can barely get down. But to each his own.

Ok, I know that you have expressed your glad to have quit drinking. Great job, even being told I would die couldn't get me sober.

However, Olde English 800? OK, King Cobra ain't bad, but it is strong as ice beer. Hurricane not bad; but not strong enough either. Blue Bull ice, now that is good( for a 40) strong and cheap.

There are websites, I am not joking, for malt liquor or 40's connisuers. 🤣 There are a bunch of regional ones, I will never have the chance to enjoy.🤣

The best tasting 40 of malt liquor is, try not to laugh, Colt 45. However it is like
an ice cream cone; in that you better consume it before it gets warm. It is, I believe 5.9% alcohol by volume. Not bad ice cold but if it starts approaching room temperature, it is Nasty. OE, nasty.

I am so glad I can't drink, allergic now, because I would have drank myself to death, especially after getting an oxycodone script, a morphine script, and best of all (worst now) an Ativan script.

But thanks to Bluelight and my good an knowledgeable doctor( He didn't put me on benzos) I got off morphine and cut my benzo intake by half. 1mg Ativan( lorazepam)= 10mg Valium( diazepam) 2mg x3 times a day of Ativan. 6mg = 60mg of Valium. Now to stop the last 30mg of Valium I switched too. Too many years on benzos, but never any problems.

I think a lot of my cheap beer knowledge and ability to drink any alcohol( ethanol)
Is from being broke for so many years, and other than nicotine, alcohol is my drug of choice.

I used to go to the Dollar Tree( store), and when I was really low on cash, buy 2 or 3, 1/2 liters of generic Listerine. 35% ethanol= 70 proof. $2.12 ain't bad for a liter of 70 proof. But I was so bad off, I needed something to fight off the withdrawals, which happened to get worse and worse.

Anyways sorry to be so long winded, but I really pray and hope things will get better for you and that you can stay off the hooch.( hey I am older than you, I love old timey slang.) I still am in shock over the manual labor, not being covered to get you physical rehab. That is some messed up shit. Hopefully, you can get physically therapy, and not have this ruin your life. Best of luck.

Thanks, yeah I mean I drank plenty of that stuff over the years, especially when I was broke. It is all rather disgusting though lol. I will be at a year of no alcohol in a couple days. I'm not totally sober/clean, but I don't drink, and for now, that's good enough for me as I've been able to make some actual progress in my life. Hard to do when drinking, and it definitely took me a while to get there. I just got tired of it.

I drank a 12 pack of Budweiser the last time I was buzzed so it was a much better tasting beer.
Can't argue with that. But when I was drinking, I would have needed a case of Budwiser. The only decent beer I ever liked more was Michelob.

I know what you mean. I've done some of my best work on meth... Too bad I'm the only one who has ever actually read all the way through any of my writing because it's "way too long" and "convoluted".

i just wanted to see if anyone else had that

maybe it's just me? some things taste like other things to people depending on genetics

they say cilantro tastes like soap to some

it's definitely weird for malt liquor to taste like banana

i just assumed that was their gimmick

Oh, it might be the brand. However if you are talking about standard 40's( I am allergic and even if my liver has gotten better, I just hate alcohol now and I really hope that I avoid it and assume I am still allergic and avoid alcohol).

Seriously I was diagnosed before 40 years old, how long did I have, I don't know. As distant karma has discussed about, being hosptilized and being broke, at the time not now, (I was put on Medicaid real fast while hospitalized for almost 3 weeks.) And just truthfully answered some questions. I had no back accounts and hadden't had one in well over a decade and a half, none in my home state, or any assets which meant the taxpayers picked up the tab. ( I am one now paying a lot in taxes).

How long before did I have it , I don't know major how long I had major liver issues. Probably it wasn't in the preceding weeks or months.

It was harder to get off Medicaid than on it; once the doctor realized I was knocking on deaths door. They made it real easy to get on it because I had no assests no assets and as distant karma says in posts if you are really hospitalized, they put you on it really fast and easy. They want they can get.

Medicaid doesn't pay/ reimburse very well compared to every insurance plan and that includes my cheap bottom of the barrel health insurance, it does reimburse better, but that long and still in my 30's and hospitalized that long on Medicaid? shows how bad and I had problems before I had assets and such.
And for almost 3 weeks? Saying it was harder too get off is no joke. I spent hours over a couple of days trying to get off it. ( don't ever want to commit federal crimes). It is wrong if I had stayed on it when things improved and the feds don't play. It may have been state run but is a related to (a Federal program and such) So really poor, myself. Paid nothing even for hundreds each months in scripts; and no copays.

So it( my former drinking was really bad)it being my favorite way to drink/ get drunk. Afterwards they wanted me in a nursing home.
Being the youngest or one of youngest, in there, no thanks, hard pass.

As a malt liquor connoisseur, lol, I had tried almost every forty of malt liquor I could and some insanely strong 14% ones; depending on the flavor of a certain brand that on comes in close to 24 ounce cans. Still Reserve 211 was my favorite and 8.1% alcohol. Regular domestic non ice beer around 4.5% plus or minus a little.

I had tried almost every brand I could find and they were almost all not great; however banana flavored, ah not I single one, as I recall.
