I don't like my taxes funding someone's fentanyl habit and making it very easy for a 12 year old to get them.
I agree with safe supply but I don't agree with just handing someone a bottle of 30 8mg hydromorph a day.
If they are still testing positive for other drugs they should be cut off imo.
Just like most things but in this case the majority are running it for the ones honestly taking them and not fentanyl.

Could be drugstore cowboy is a far bigger source than safe supply. Compare the numbers NP is boasting about in London Ont Compared to a recent d8 haul from a pharmacy

sounds like a lot, but compare with what went missing from one Pharmacy. I had my tinfoil hat on long before I saw it was all d8s taken.. [see my june 25 post]

I looked into this because this sounded overly dramatic.
Turns out what's being used is a little device that attaches to your outer ear and works by electrostimulation. It facilitates the release of dopamine to make the patient feel more relaxed and mitigate the agitation and generally bad mental state that accompanies acute withdrawal.

Sure, the method is new, which is why 'no treatment centre in the country' is using it (yet) ; but from the description I don't see any possible adverse effects or why it should be 'controversial' (or whether it even IS regarded as controversial outside of this person's assertion). The treatment is non-invasive, nobody is having their brains 'electrocuted'; it's a very mild signal and all it does is up certain neurotransmitters that make the process of withdrawing easier for you. I fail to see where seeking to alleviate suffering is 'unethical treatment'. Honestly I'd be willing to trial that if I was facing bad WDs in a prison setting.
 
Prison populations are considered vulnerable, my assumption is that there are extra checks to ensure safety of the population by the IRB if this is a clinical trial. These things are incredibly strict

I think a lot of people just have to see the word 'electrical' in relation to 'affects brain' anything, in order to immediately jump to conclusions without ever bothering to actually look shit up.

The polls show flooding of all grades starting a half decade ago, only in Ontario - and hardly a peep from media and police on this.

McDonalds is a job, not a career unless you're a franchisee. Jobs exist to earn supplemental income from the ages of 16-25, maybe 30, while pursuing an education/career. Can't believe people think it should support your entire lifestyle. That's what a career is for
