Apart from coke is there any other upper that lasts an hour or two rather than keeping you awake all fucking night?

Buproprion (Welbutrin)

Snorted buproprion definitely has mild stimulant effects, but it burns like a mother fucker in the nose.

It wears off within an hour or so. But over use (as in continuing to do lines all day) can lead to seizures. And auditory hallucinations in my experience.


Propylhexadrine inhalers are pretty short acting in my experience. You just take a hit in the nose & it'll help wake you up for a good 15 mins or so. But it's not very recreational & tends to cause a pretty bad headache.


Neither one of these options are exactly "healthy" or good to be doing long term though.


Snorted buproprion is like a super mild crack IMO. Way less euphoric or enjoyable though.

Oral buproprion is a totally different drug compared to intranasal btw. It's similar in structure I believe to methcathinone. Methcathinone is kind of short acting, 4-6hrs, but I dunno where people would find methcath.
 
This site says buproprion's chemical structure is closer to methamphetamine, but it is a synthetic cathinone.

But the NIH website says it's structure is closer to cathinone. Either way, it's structure is close to recreational stimulants.

I find buproprion alright at first, but the more you take, the more shitty you start to feel. And I find that it blocks the euphoria of other drugs for a day or so after using it, for whatever reason.

I'm sure there's other cathinone analogues & stuff out there that are short acting, but it's probably not easy to get your hands on any.
 
I find it only mildly euphoric.

I would rank it in between caffeine & methylphenidate. It's like a diet methylphenidate really. More euphoric than caffeine, but not as euphoric as ritalin.

It's euphoric enough that I end up craving another bump/line after an hour though. Unfortunately doing more doesn't really make it more euphoric or even necessarily bring the euphoria back either. It just causes more side effects & makes you feel jittery & sketched out. It's also really easy to OD on this way, as buproprion's therapeutic index stops at around 400mg orally. But with insufflation, you're getting much more into your system & faster, so insufflating too much could cause serious adverse side effects or even death.

It's not worth the destruction of the nose either. You will most likely have a nosebleed the following day of a buproprion binge. It burns like hell. Imagine snorting ground up glass & that's what ti feels like. It feels & even smells sort of like snorting crushed up garlic (not that I would know what crushed up garlic feels like snorted, but I can imagine), as it has such a rancid ammonia-like smell.

But in the context of what OP asked, buproprion is wildly short acting. Especially if you're just some one with no stim tolerance, who's looking for a small pick me up, but still wanna sleep that night.

But if you're a tweaker/stim lover who uses them to party & get wild, then you'll be sorely disappointed by buproprion, as it's not that strong. And it's recreational effects are very mild.
 
I'm not a big lover of stims, but i have been looking for ritalin online due to a new job and workload (online training modules) i have trouble with these as they are done in spare time at home (paid). I get distracted far to easily at home.
I can get modalert easily but it gives me a body rash even at 100mg and 50mg has no effect.
Are there any r/c stims that would fit the bill.

Cocaine (poor quality usually)

Ritalin (Methylphenidate) 20mg tablet / 3-4 hour duration Max. Excellent choice. Clean & safe. Minimal cardiovascular issues compared to the amphetamines. Fast onset and VERY euphoric.

Dexedrine (d-Amphetamine) 5mg tablet / 4-5 hour duration. Potent CNS stimulant.

Mephedrone (4-MMC / 4-Methyl Meth-Cathinone) fuck Bupropion “Wellbutrin” …..a REAL dopaminergic stimulant capable of causing euphoria. 4-MMC beta-ketone-Amphetamine ….like Bupropion only it’s actually a potent Dopamine releasing agent (like Amphetamines). Causes a 500% increase in Dopamine and 900% increase in Serotonin. Bupropion is a weak NDRI, mainly norepinephrine. Mephedrone is a potent SERT & DAT releasing agent. Very capable of inducing euphoria. I enjoyed it very much.

Get an RX for pharmaceutical Ritalin (Methylphenidate) 3-4X increase in dopamine over norepinephrine. Mechanism of action very similar to Cocaine. Nearly identical, and nearly twice as potent as Cocaine….but with an immaculate safety profile.

RITALIN…..new Antidepressant and Mild smooth-acting Stimulant
Boost mood and overcome depression, fatigue, lethargy
Improve Spirits and performace. Ritalin brightens outlook and renews vigor

People are turning this into a "more euphoric" contest instead of actually answering OP's question.

Ritalin & amphetamine are not going to be over in 1-2hrs. And for people with no tolerance, that 3-4 hour duration that they do have can actually feel a little longer.
Don't nobody take ONE ritalin or amphetamine pill & then stop after the 3-4hr window either, you're gonna be doing more once it wears off due to the crash, turning it into an all nighter anyway.

Sure, buproprion sucks, but OP didn't ask about "the most euphoric", he asked about the shortest acting.

Not to mention the comedown from ritalin or amphetamine lasts just as long as the damn "high" itself.

OP asks if there are stimulants that work for only an hour or two & we got people jumping to tell him ritalin & amphetamine. Wtf. Yeah OP, get hooked on speed, that's even better. Listing the 2 most common addictive stimulants (that technically aren't that short acting or as short acting as OP wants) is a pretty lazy answer.

If OP truly wants heavy euphoria & a hard drug habit from a super short acting stimulant, than other than cocaine, all there is is crack. Otherwise methylphenidate or amphetamine are not gonna be over in 1-2hrs. And they're compulsive enough that it'll likely turn into an all nighter anyway to try & avoid the come down. Some people can sleep after taking methylphenidate & amphetamine, but tolerance & dosage plays a huge role as well. And again, neither are 1-2hrs duration.


Again, ritalin & amphetamine are both much longer acting than cocaine, even in their instant release form & especially for some one with no tolerance. Both are moreish and you will want to do more once it wears off anyway, so by doing either one you could potentially be setting yourself up for sleep deprivation & insomnia, even if the acute effects from them are over. These are not stimulants that you're gonna be able to enjoy for an hour or two & then go to bed. They're short acting compared to methamphetamine & their extended-release counterparts, but still aren't good candidates for what OP asked.


OP, the reality is that there aren't any easily available, recreational stimulants that are as short acting as cocaine or shorter. Or even an hour or so, besides buproprion. And it's a shitty drug with almost no euphoria at all, possibly just more focus & motivation, that generally wears off within an hour. Most widely used stimulants last at least 4hrs or longer. And even when they are over, there can be some residual insomnia or cravings/desire to use more.

Ephedrine is also a very mild stimulant that's easy to put down & go to bed with at night, but it too can last up to 4hrs. Though it's not going to cause you to feel tweaked or overly awake like amphetamine & ritalin can (although it could possibly, since everyone reacts to things differently). In fact, I've gone to bed a few hours after taking ephedrine many times. Although ephedrine is actually harder on your cardiovascular system than taking amphetamine, so I don't advise making a habit of it.

Not if you have ADHD.

I've tried Wellbutrin in the past, and I really did not like it

It gave me this weird sense of dread, like no other stimulant has ever done. I only took one (once maybe twice - to make sure on a 2nd occasion,) and then binned the rest.

That's a very rare occurrence for me.
