Methadone to sub

OK party people I need advice, I'm at 30mg methadone. I'm wondering if I can go from Methadone to Suboxone just straight across? 2mg sub to get off 30mg sub, right away no taper! Is it possible, looking for advice and experience
 
I only have experience going from 60 to sub in jail. I waited 48 hours a day started taking 8th size pieces 0.5mg/.125mg. I took them twice a day for a day. The the following 2 day u took 1mg/.25 twice. Then 2mg twice a day after that until I ran out. There were a couple times I felt a little wierd and sick when they kicked in. Ymmv. Be careful and listen to your body man.

Going from 30 to sub should be easier but I would still wait a few days. How long were you in methadone... how high were you and how fast did you drop to 30?
 
Theorically you can do it only waiting like 24h of your last dose of methadone. Tje better is when you begin to feel a bit sick then eat a 2 mg bupe. After 1-hours if you feel no wd you can do 2mg more. Wait another hour or two then do 2mg more. I think 6-8mg bupe will be enough. I did it my own and 0 wd. Its the way we do in Spain. The maximum dose for do that is 30mg methadone. So you should be fine!
Why do you want to change to bupe?

The clinic I go to, charges me $10/day! Even with my insurance, I can't afford $300 a month for methadone

Ive been on methadone for about 5 years and what my dose was up to 150 at some point and then I slowly work myself down to 30 mg now

And bupe? Its cheaper?
Here in Spain methadone its free. For bupe you have to pay I dont remember how much
 
I would personally try get your methadone dose even lower to like 5mg and so when you switch over you will need even less suboxone saving you even more on the dose side. But if it is something that needs to happen asap then yes it is doable. Just wait the right amount of time and start introducing the subuxone as mentioned. Best of luck

I'm on 50 mg and wondering that too . I know I used to take a sub the day after doing percs 15s for days and weeks , but I wasnt taking over 90 mg of oxy a day . I know methodone is a bit different but switch off an actual pharmaceutical is def going to be easier than trying to do it coming off street fyntinol

Same in Ohio it's basically free , and if u have no job or anything medical insurance is free and I think if thag doesn't work they make it free
