I’ll always blame invega for my life being destroyed, although what caused me to be in that dirty Hospital in the first place was Marijuana. The psychosis/schizophrenia it triggered was really bad, hearing voices I thought were Angels, God and sometimes other people. Faces/images in clouds and plants etc.

There was no off switch for this either, it started randomly after smoking one night in July? and stayed up until a few days after the first shot of invega in October, I hadn’t smoked for almost a month whilst in the psych ward and the voices/hallucinations had stopped during the third week.

I only got injected because I refused to take the pills, they brought a team of 4 security guards with the nurses saying they’ll hold me down if I don’t comply. I didn’t need the injections, in fact I was the only one in the ward that was chill and not screaming and yelling like most of the others.

I have like 0.1% hope left things will get better, there hasn’t been one day I haven’t thought about kms in 8 months. I’m just saying all this to let you guys know that if I stopped smoking weed once I started hearing voices I probably wouldn’t have ended up lobotomized by invega.
I relate I was refusing risperdal cause I wasn't psychotic then they forced the shot on me. Wasn't aggressive or yelling just watching tv. Fuck psychiatry.

Same exact story with me. I have no history of psychotic disorders in my family, it was brought on by weed at 19. I started thinking I was getting messages from god all the time and bullshit like that. Ended up with an invega shot, same thing happened a few others times because I was dumb enough to keep smoking. Personally I hate what weed has done to me.

Have you recovered?

Can someone explain to me how a 10mg haldol lactate shot could still be effecting me 5 months later? Like does it not matter how much of this shit is injected into you for it to destroy you for a good amount of time. Every day I struggle to wrap my head around it because with invega I understood why I was being effected so long because I had gotten 234mg shots but this just does not make sense to me at all. For the record I felt “normal” 7 months after last invega injection. That does not mean fully recovered but “normal”

The amount of people posting about this is disturbing. Personally I’ve had 4 invega shorts or so over the last several years. It is a horrible drug for sure but it hasn’t been as bad for me as what others have described. One time I noticed I had residual effects for 6 months, but the other three seemed to go away after about 3 months. During the one that lasted 6 months, the first four months were bad but then it began dissipate. But some people are saying they haven’t been right after a year or so? I would hope it’s placebo after that long.

Ya I’m not sure man I felt pretty good 7 months off invega. Could you look at my recent post and try to make sense of it for me?

Also did things rapidly improve for you? That’s what happened to me last time

You may be having issues because anti psychotic injections are known to have a long half life. Half will eliminate from your system in a month, half will eliminate in another month, etc. I’m probably not explaining it very well. But the longer the half life, the longer it will be in your system.

You had any sexual side effects or no?
