Thanks for posting your experience. (my favorite forum name still!) There is a lot of talk but someone with direct experience is like gold.

I do feel all these people left hanging really need to be included in any drug recovery program and they need to get on top of it. Some of the videos are astounding. And some wounds look deep. And we call ourselves a civilized society. I see a lot of addicts really wanting off yet here in 2024 the recovery programs have no idea what they are dealing with. People getting turned away from rehab because of wounds. There has to be a better front line for people that want help.

Does Xylazine even feel good?

Frankly, I've never even done fentanyl let alone xylazine. Last major opioid I had was heroin in 2008 when I was a strung out junkie and finally got help. Dodged the draft, so to speak, though I've worked with opioid users for the past 15 years as a social worker/therapist, so I've had a ton of face time with fetty as a result.

From what I gather, xylazine seems to be helpful for some people as it increases the latency between use and when you start feeling sick and in need of your next dose. 3-4 hours for straight fetty vs. 6-8 for xylafet is no small difference. ALl to approximate the tried and true 6-8 hours that diacetylmorphine aka heroin would give you, 10-12 on a high dose.

Fentanyl seems like an mp3 to heroin's vinyl album. I guess xylazine would be like a tik tok of that very song?

I've managed to stay away from fentanyl and hopefully it stays that way.
Anyone have experience with withdrawing from fentanyl with xylazine? I'm curious if xylafent is harder to stop than the regular street fentanyl. And if you get sicker

Wounds Update;;

Wrist is doing great and healing nicely,when the petroleum jelly is wiped away the rough texture doesnt form on it



The three leg wounds appeared 1-2 weeks before the wrist wound and always appeared worse and when petroleum jelly is wiped away it still scabs up but is much better,they definitely improved,



Now for the bad news,i noticed new ones started up i have one 3/8” spot on my right shoulder and three 3/8” spots on the back of my left forearm and i have shot up nowhere near either of them,the closest is i shot in my hand so theyre about 9” away so it seems that they just pop up at random location…i have to put a bandage over the one on my shoulder cause a tahirt will remove the petroleum jelly….

If you see a red spot on you and it feels like it has a scab on it but you dont see a normal brownish scab thats the start of a xylazine wound,wash it with soap and water then cover it with petroleum jelly,its fine if you want to put a bandage on it to keep the petroleum jelly from being wiped away, This is how they care for wounds in the Wound Care Ambulances set up around Kensington,,,,you can search it on YT yourself ,if you use fentanyl IV this is something that can affect you….

Hi, it is around the OP that I SWIMs stuff was mixed with Xylazine, but the only effect it had on me was that it would block out the Fentanyl high for me.

Now it's much scarier, a new Tranq that is 100x times stronger than Xylazine is in our stuff, all over NYC called Medetomidine. SWIM now has withdrawals from both, dried skin rashes and pigmentations on body, feels pain in his heart and has extreme short term memory problems now because the heart rate rapidly decreases, thus depriving the brain critical amounts of oxygen.

SWIM is considering going back to a Methadone Clinic, but it was very corrupt and prefers to avoid that (after 3 years of attendance, SWIM was still not allowed a 7 Day Vacation Bottles to live in a Monastery for 5 days (SWIM had this recorded and considered suing them, was belittled and insulted, Doctor saying "You want some spiritual journey, you can bring a letter from the Pope for all I care, I ain't giving you sh!t").

I digress, SWIM wants to detox at home from Medetomidine and is looking for any Supplements or Medication that may counter-act its effect, biggest being drowsiness, extreme fatigue, paleness, loss of appetite, and loss of desire to do anything (example: Opens a game, IVs a shot, then proceeds to just stare at the screen in a non-euphoric way for hours, waiting to receive energy or willpower to simply get up from his chair).

Any help would be appreciated while SWIM waits for a bed availability for Detox.
SWIM is certain it is a very strong Tranq due to 16 years of abuse of Oxycontin, Oxymorphone (Opana), Heroin, Fentanyl, Xylazine mixes in December 2023, but these new "Batches' are the most scared and worried that has made him in his life, and is LITERALLY dying DAY after DAY with basic Health Conditions worsening.

I've heard of other new drugs hitting the streets, there called Nitazenes and there even stronger than Fentanyl.

Yeah nitazenes are actually insane. In my area in canada we have really good quality control with fentanyl and fentanyl analogues, so most of what we can get are very strong for a small price. I tried what I can say with some certainty was either Flurofentanyl or a different analogue, and it hit much harder than any other opioid I’ve tried. One pipe hit had me nodding over and made me VERY drowsy, with having such a small tolerance they are extremely powerful, and the tolerance of the addicts is bonkers, my dad had no problem smoking over a gram or three on multiple occasions, and he was still standing up having a smoke. Just a wild subject to begin with.

I hope things have been improving for you @Sovauthority , did the detox succeed or have you found access to safer opioids at least?

I just tried Prazosin yesterday and it essentially acted like a slowed down version of how you described medetomidine. I would stand up and collapse, trip over my own feet trying to walk, spend hours so exhausted I could barely do shit, the end result was just feeling as if I'd wasted my entire day. I could see a smaller dose perhaps synergizing well with a huge dose of a stimulant, but past that it just felt as if propranolol or clonidine lasted annoyingly long, subjectively.

I often say that methamphetamine feels like amphetamine if it lasted annoyingly long, and analogously, Prazosin felt like if clonidine/propranolol lasted annoyingly long. What do you use medetomidine for specifically, just to time travel forwards a little bit?

I wanted to introduce myself, I am currently in methadone wd, fourth day into it, cold turkey from 40 , 6 month taking it. I am so truly shocked about fetanyl, but this xylazine shit takes the cake. I do not like people, to be called zombies, thats not, what we are, we are - from my point of view- at least victims. Therefore, I do not like this youtube trend, of exploiting these victims for views. Often, without consent. Thats a minimum as exploitative, as mixing this shit yourself, to sell it. I guess.
I always think, that this xylazine dhit is just in it, because, its a way to combat methadone and buprenorphin, cause it is not possible to combat the wd with methadone, or else. Horrible.
Fent is dirtcheap, is does not make sense for me, to mix another dirt cheap ingridient into it, but for the reasons , I just explained.
I do not believe in god, but I swear, me seeing these people in the video? Thats real suffering, no help available, or so it seems. Imagine yourself with a massive infection, that stinks and nothing, but amputation really helps. So, I will go on with my wd, to combat my addiction. At the very least, I am not beeing poisoned with xylazine.
I wish , someone would emidiately put xylazine into the scheduled drug list, therefore, it might not be so acessable. But to rely on the help of governments, has shown to be much ineffective and slow.
This is where the war on drugs has taken us and still, no one is waking up, finaly. So slow, the progress.

It is impossible to seperate, unfortunately.

Don't believe a dealer when they say it's just fentanyl. Unless they are in a lab making it they don't know. They will say it though because they're salesman.

Good luck on your taper and hang in there, just keep reminding yourself that in a couple days you will start to feel better and not have to worry about copping dope or being dopesick.

I will, thank you. Not that long, though, I am already an older warriour. But as that? I might have some insight, or ask some stupid question, more on the later, I think.
By the way, as an registered nurse, I can share some insight. You just wont belive it, or no, you will, but normal people wont.

A kind individual sent me this link. If anyone has info on how we can work towards eradicating xylazine that would be great. I agree with the poster above regarding the safest use being smoked. I know they are not the best but its better than nothing and I would use a test strip prior (for Xylazine) If you have multiple dealers, Complain if it comes up and go to someone else. Once they feel it in their pockets, I think things will change.
