The alternative to short acting dope would be continuing to use a drug that causes horrific scars all over the body and other horrendous outcomes. I would hope that most sensible people would understand.

And this is maybe idealistic thinking on my part, but if enough people understood what was going on here, and stoped buying tranq, it would disrupt the market and dealers would stop buying/selling the trash.

I actually edited my comment to note the wounds as a likely factor in persuading people against using it if there are other options.

That shit destroyed everything I'd worked towards, alienated my family, and killed a close friend whom I happened to be living with at the time. The likelihood of overdose on the whole even before xylazine was orders of magnitude less than the shit out there now. Everyone I know who uses has narcanned other people, and has been narcanned more than once.

Imagine where we'd be if we didn't have same-day suboxone and OTC narcan?

Imagine where we'd be if we actually had treatment beds, and ones that people actually wanted to access....

Thank fucking god for that man - I'm glad you're still with us. I got clean in 2008 and almost everyone I was in treatment with, or used with, has died. I've probably lost a dozen patients that I know of between getting my MSW in 2012 and now. I lost count with how many of my high school classmates died - year 2000 baby, true millennial!

Wtf? That doesn't seem logical. If it's already a mix of weed, tobacco, tramadol, and fentanyl, why would someone really rob a grave to add "formaldehyde" or ground human bones or whatever? You might as well just throw some dirt in there, Jesus. This doesn't follow any basic formula of profit motive in black market drug supply... You know how much it would cost in man hours to rob all these graves to keep a large amount of the population "high" or whatever?

from some brief reading on it it seemed like a sedative similar to clonidine, not having recreational value, and unsafe to inject possibly.

why would drug addicts be attracted to a drug like this? is it a sign of the desperation of times? or is it worth it in some way?

I was watching drugs inc or one of those shows and the bricks marked with an x were cut with fent and heading to america. I believe the others were probably #3 to europe but (suprise) dude wasn't so articulate.

As mentiond idk why anyone would fuck with xylazine on purpose, I've never heard anyone brag on the xylazine cut. (and i certainly have fet).

Alsotapered put forward a theory that makes alot of sense about the chinese teaching synth to the mexican cartels and this is our result. --- there was much more to it, this is my lamens takeaway.

Until the fent/xyla-dope gets shoved back into their hands repeatedly and becomes worth 0; nothing will change. (if bupe wasn't so cost prohibitive I would be trying to lobby the users)

I won't ever touch street dope again. Haha unless death is an acceptable outcome at the moment. (I know a few folk that keep it on em for a worst case scenario, I guess it makes sense for that) .... How bleak.

That's a brilliant question. I had a good mull on this one, and then a good smoke. But all I could come up with was like...maybe the whole gun powder thing is a dude that only has like three beers. And he's trying to make it hit him like nine beers?

Otherwise I can't imagine wanting to get high on gun powder. The other thing is that Africans spend a lot more time away from supply hubs than you or I do, so maybe they're turning to gun powder out of desperation.

Yes, there's slowly becoming some more awareness about those. Etazene and etonitazene are a couple of them. They've gone around the rc markets s bit but started becoming popular in the dope scene as well, as they're stupid strong and make i think an even stronger hit than fentanyl, which is ridiculous if you think about it

It just isnt the same anymore and i dont ever think it will be again. Back when we used to rate the stamp bags in kenzo and a few sets would have it laced with fet but for the most part it was good D. Now even the big sets have switched to this poison. I honestly don't even see the enjoyment of it anymore if your not getting that euphoria and just getting knocked out. Seems like Kenzo has become very very hot as of the last few months. Wonder if that changes things
