Or maybe they just kill indiscriminately like I've been yelling about all this time
All wars are indiscriminate killing....
Oct 7th was indiscriminate killing, rape, and beheadings.
This war in particular is absurd. All war is absurd, but this one particularly, because it has been distorted by social media. The only way to rationalize any of it is to latch on to one narrative and ignore the last 75 years of conflict in that area...
Maybe Hamas and their predecessors, and Syria and Jordan, shouldn't have repeatedly invaded and attacked Israel for the last 75 years? Maybe people shouldn't be rationalizing beheading children and raping women as "Jihad, God given right to do so".
Maybe Muslim countries from around the world should not have persecuted Jews out of their homes and into exile over the last 75 years, exacerbating Zionism and radicalizing Israel even more?
Maybe Israel should have never been created by the UN?
Maybe Israel should not have created settlements on land they don't own?
Maybe Hitler should have never murdered 6 million Jews, which led to Israel in the first place.
I don't understand why so many people ignore history regarding this war.... it's extremely relevant.
If you look at this war historically without bias, it's difficult to feel morally obligated to either side. It's easy to understand why Israel has become so radically defensive, and it's easy to understand why Hamas exists.
If you look at this war simply from the "big western power killing their poor defenseless neighbors for no reason", then yeah I'd look at clips like that and call it blatant war crimes. Of which Israel is certainly guilty of, but that doesn't invalidate their reason to invade Gaza.
War is absurd. This one certainly is a lot more than "only the other side is bad".
