🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

I liked the first Pusher film but I think I like the second one better, focused on Mads Mikkelson as the underachieving dirtbag criminal son of a more successful dirtbag criminal.

The third one, iirc, is centered around the Serbian gangsters from the first film in the trilogy, although I never saw the third film

i liked them all, good movies. there were many good films from denmark at the early 2000s...

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009)

Perfect role for Nic Cage. Thought it odd that it didn’t have the same depressing ending style that the original 90s film or the following film, Filth had.

Kinda odd for a Werner Herzog film. Decent paced and enjoyable.

Better than Filth but not as good as the Harvey Keitel Bad Lieutenant. Worth a watch if you want to kill two hours.

7/10

Den of Thieves [2018]

Generic crime thriller, nothing special, but I did enjoy it. What stood out to me was Gerard Butler's character, he plays a good, somewhat likeable bad guy (who is supposed to be a good guy). Has some good lines and was acted well.

I really did not like the guy who played Donnie. Not only does the actor not really fit the role very well, the man is a mouth breather, and for whatever reason the director chose to keep the mouth breathing on max volume. I found it incredibly distracting. Mouth breathing and people chewing with their mouth open is a huge pet peeve of my autist brain. I'm not trying to make fun of the guy because he was probably born that way, I just found it very distracting that they kept it on full volume, as if his mouth breathing was part of the dialogue.

/end rant

I loved this scene. Made me cheer for the bad guy.

What are some good Ethan & Joel Cohen movies other than Fargo, Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, and Burn After Reading?
The Man Who Wasn't There (Galdolfini) was a good one I thought. Oh Brother Where are Thou was ok. Good music.

Last movie, Somewhere in Queens. I liked it.

Haha, yeah, the Hudsucker Proxy, I forgot all about that one. That was a good one. A lot of their films follow the same kind of plot format, with a naive main character stumbling into some situation way over their head or something
