🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Classic films y’all, classic. I loved the 2012 version of Dredd as well. Supposedly Alex Garland ghost directed it.

I rewatched Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon yesterday. Neon Demon is pretty bleh…

But Only God Forgives is a completely underrated gem of a film. I absolutely loved it. Cliff Martinez did such a fantastic job with the score too.

Bought Godzilla; King of the monsters. $2.12 in the cellophane at used DVD place. Spoiler alert: Some crazy bitch teams up with eco terrorists to unleash 18 or so hugh monsters to wipe out most of the human race to protect the environment, ah she decides to kill more people than Mao, Stalin, Hitler, and all the rest of the famous blood thirsty butchers/dictators combined. To save the Earth. She didn't even seem crazy, but the plot and dialog were not what this movie was about. Taking good actors who were not that well known( No self respecting A or B list actor would have taken part in this movie) The special affects and the big, not really that scary, monsters were what this mess was about. Spoiler alert again: Since when is Godzilla the good (creature?). This is one to skip.

I personally liked “Only God Forgives”, but if someone saw it and said they hated it I’d probably be understanding tbh. I couldn’t even finish “Neon Demon”, I hated that one

I generally like Refn’s movies (the “Pusher” films, “Drive”, “Only God Forgives” etc) but he definitely has kind of a hate it or love it style..

Watched the new Indiana Jones movie, what a let down.
All that money and special effects were garbage

I loved only god forgives but didnt like neon demon at all. It was just a total miss.

Have you ever seen the icelandic movie Refn was executives producer on called Blacks game? It is totally fucked and you should like it if you liked Pusher. Really hard to find though

Not seen it, nor Pusher. I'll have to check those out, thanks!

I concur. I haven't showed OGF to my wife because I figure she won't be into it; it's pretty fucking dark and more close to a very gory revenge flick with less emphasis on justice. Stylistically it's mesmerizing. "Time to meet the Devil." I'd love to have seen it in theaters, my 49" tv doesn't do films justice these days.

The Neon Demon was indeed a failure; 30 minutes too long and just fuckin... weird. Another great OST from Cliff Martinez though, I listen to the soundtrack on and off. I made my wife watch The Neon Demon and she was almost pissed off at me afterwards. She said something like, "You just wanted me to share in your misery," lol

Seriously, How do you make a low budget Indiana Jones movie, especially with Harrison Ford born in 1942. They should have stopped with the last crusade.
I would never have guessed a low budget feel would have been the problem. That Crystal Skull one was bad enough.

David Spade was born in Birmingham Michigan(very nice Detroit suburb, near where I live 20-30 minutes away) Then moved to Arizona.
Unfortunately for him: When Chris Farley died(1997 I think) so did his movie career.
He just ain't leading man material. Seeing him with a mullet(wig) is and playing a white trash character is difficult to believe. Even though after his family moved to Arizons, at an early age: His family was kind of poor after his parents divorced. He seems too smart(in real life) to be believable plays.
I have only seen a little of it and I tried watching it but couldn't. I had cable at the time and I turned the channel each time.
It got a 9% rating approval from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it got a 63% audience approval rating.
So I am torn as to whether or not to try to watch the whole thing on a free movie channel or not.
Who cares

I watched "Pusher" w/ subs. It's a Danish movie and it was pretty good. I liked the kind of grimey cinematography. Decent druggy film.
