Ive recently wonder with older people as I've noticed myself being less restless (at times), do they not emote as much because of increased awareness, empathy, maybe more experience that makes one less surprised by things, more content, or something else? In your opinion

Oh I totally agree. That is a great observation. Attention equals stillness.
But maybe not with football. Or else all those restless fans in the stands have the consciousness of a rock (not to insult a rock). With football the surprises do seem to trail off due to too many years of watching unlike those young fans. But was sitting in a weird position.
