The extremely rich usually don’t lower themselves to those drugs unless by mistake.

They tend to stick to coke and oxy 30s (the real ones)
In my opinion the choice has less to do with the specific drug itself, but with the ability to procure pure drugs. UHNWI addicts are like "normal" addicts too, in that they can have varying tastes so some of them can end up liking meth over coke and heroin over oxys. The difference however is that due to their connections, money and influence they have access to pharmaceutically produced meth and heroin. Not saying Matthew Perry was such a guy though (he def was not).

I'm talking about the kind of guys who buy a controlling stake in a pharma company, just to force the board of directors behind the scenes to provide them with all the drugs they want and circumvent the medical system that way. They basically purchase their own little drug factory. I'm talking elite level here.

Had to be a relapse/OD. Heart attacks rarely knock you out right away unless it's a STEMI, and he would've known already that he had advanced heart disease for that one. Heart attacks are painful and the first instinct would be to get out of the water.

Has to be drugs.

Doctors awaiting toxicology reports, seeking "unknown drug". OD is suspected.

Probably an RC opioid in pressed pills?

It’s odd when I see celebrities dying of black market shit. Tom petty, prince, etc.

You’d think they have the money and black market or doctor connections to always have a steady stream of pharma grade drugs.

Reminds me of juicewrld the rapper that was an opioid addict using 20 30 mg oxy per day plus benzos and codiene…his toxicology showed zero fentanyl and only the oxycodone, codiene, and I think trace mdma. And he died in like 2021 well into the days of everything being fentanyl.

You called that it was ketamine?

I was pretty sure it was opioids. I’m shocked it was K.

At least this won’t bring more crackdowns/attention opioid prescriptions. Whenever someone important dies of drugs the typical authorities react by arresting their doctors

I called that it was an OD.

Taking K in the bath is incredibly stupid. Might as well have been heroin.

I'm not at all surprised it was drug related, but I can't say I saw ketamine coming. Well known ketamine users D.M. Turner and John Lily were both found in similar circumstances. Lily was lucky enough to be found by his wife while still alive and she successfully rescued him.

God social media right now is basically 2 Braindead takes:

1. He’s was a filthy drug addict Hollywood liberal that deserves to die.

2. Ketamine is heckin wholesome drug that is good for you like vitamins and the medical examiner is lying.

I hate it out there. Bless this site it really is a place of reason when it comes to drugs

Huh. Gotta say, I'm surprised about the k, not so much the bupe, I mean still yeah that it's THAT opioid, but not so much considering the coronary load and combination with ketamine as well.

Anyone think this will have any impact on the current outlook of ket and bupe as pharmacological master keys?

🤔

Mods, please put this in whatever forum is appropriate. I was thinking of a few and settled on this one.

Just as the title says. No thread yet on Mathew Perry and Ketamine?

First, I wonder if he was under Ketamine treatment for depression. Regardless, he was obviously self-administering.
Second, I wonder if he was self-administering for recreation or to help himself with addiction (or other) issues.

Gotta wonder if he was attempting to use the Ketamine in a constructive fashion to help his addictions. He was under Ket treatment, but there aren't take homes :)
I'm not saying Ketamine can be used constructively at those levels or that he was or would have succeeded in doing so, I'm wondering if he was trying to.
