wellbutrin didnt help me it just made me so fucking anxiousSo, I'm marking 8 months as my recovery time. I went on a vacation and was joyful, outgoing, and interested in exploring just the way I was before the shot. It's continued now that I'm at home. I'm taking lots of pictures around the city, taking joy in small things like seeing cute dogs or a nice full moon.
I was getting more functional around 4 months, started feeling "okay" at 6 months. I went on 5 mg of lexapro at 4 months, but I don't think it affected much. I went on 150 mg of wellbutrin at 6 months and that seems to have made a big difference in my mood and motivation.
Lingering side effects are that it takes longer to have an orgasm (though that seems to be getting better over the past month) and I'm not sure how substances affect me. I seem to have a higher alcohol tolerance, but I'm not a heavy drinker so I don't test it much. I have no idea about weed, because I've quit that forever.
So yeah, recovery is definitely possible. If you're one of the lucky ones, it can happen in as little as 8 months, and if you're not you might as well hang in there anyway.
I had the 2 loading doses, last one on January 28.
