Isn't it beautiful? Nabokov is one of the purest literary talents I've encountered. His most famous work, Lolita, is incredibly disturbing (and meant to be) but at heart it is just page after page of unbelievable prose. He could describe a toaster in a way that brings a tear to the eye.
Had a great night last night. There was only about 80 people at the little soiree in the forest but it was just great. Saw some old friends who I've not seen in years. My mate played a few of my tunes. Have not heard my music on a big sound system for over a decade- such an amazing experience. Although I could only hear rhe flaws and the system itself was pretty crappy. But cool to see weirdoes dancing to music you've slaved over. I left at around 2am and glad to have done so, apparently the police appeared about an hour later.
Was at a perfect +2 (.5 maybe) all night, which I think is the sweet spot for tripping these days. I find it easily manageable and could function perfectly well if needed, but still deep enough to experience the full psychedelic gamut of effects. With the help of smoked DMT/MET mix, I was able to poke my head above the universe for brief moments but was mainly just filled with good cheer and gentle euphoria.
Had some nitrous at the party, first time for that in like 15 years. Hilarity ensued.
