Invega has made me less of a man. Not even sexually. I’m way more submissive now.
Did you recover mentally? Is your intelligence and thoughts recovered? Is anyone else feeling like numbness of your body and like a weird uncomfortable sensation; it will be coming up to two years next month-since I suddenly quit invega sustenna after 2 initial shot doses, it affects my athleticism such as coordination etc substantially when I try to do active tasks.
I meditate a lot and try to practice mindfulness and inner charisma, that seems to help with things like inner dialogue and focus. Also, I’m still in college so I constantly contribute time to studying and organizing, that attributes towards my intellect.Did you recover mentally? Is your intelligence and thoughts recovered?
Can you tell us what percentage of recovery you’ve had after two years? How are your emotions? Can you update us on how you’re doing now compared to two years ago?Is anyone else feeling like numbness of your body and like a weird uncomfortable sensation; it will be coming up to two years next month-since I suddenly quit invega sustenna after 2 initial shot doses, it affects my athleticism such as coordination etc substantially when I try to do active tasks.
I’m starting the think the same thingIt is impossible
aren’t you an accountant? I don’t think a mindset has anything to do with healing if you are chemically altered. What it sounds like is you’ve had an easier time healing than most of us.I really believe those who never recover are pessimistic people at the root. Let’s be honest. Do you really think they had a lot going for them in life to begin with? Not trying to be nasty, but it has to be factored into the equation. If you have no success, no ambitions, no motivation, you are basically a vegetable anyhow. Invega or not.
Some ppl seem to adapt better to Invega Sustenna, you seem to be one of them. There are numerous ppl on Reddit who are on Invega Sustenna who carry out normal lives. I know a guy on it who works, does drugs, has zero side effects. Some ppl are like that on abilify. For some ppl Invega Sustenna completely destroys them, they can’t work, they can’t function, they can’t run, there muscles cramp and stiffen, they get muscle jerky movements etc. they get eye twitches. Lose their period, chest pains, gain a ton of weight, have insomnia, can’t form sentences ect. The drug affects everyone differently!I’m not saying I’m some kind of bigshot, but you don’t see me all suicidal either. I don’t know the reality of your lives, but all this pessimism is not normal. You guys are all young I’m not judging any of you. I’m just saying this is a forum that attracts the mentally ill. Not exactly rocket scientists. It’s the truth, it has to be said. Just keep that in mind when talking about people not recovering. I’m no exception am also mentally ill
If anhedonia and weight gain are the only two things you suffered from then I suggest if you have another psychosis to get put back on Invega Sustenna because you lucked out! lol that’s basically two easy things to cope with compared to the numerous other problems antipsychotics can cause! So of course you’re not whining and complaining a lot! Those two things will disappear with discontinuation of the drug! You have no permanent damage side effects!I’m not saying I’m some kind of bigshot, but you don’t see me all suicidal either. If you were able to work while being on Invega Sustenna, then hey man. If you get a psychosis again opt for Invega Sustenna! Because I lost half of my vocabulary after the third dose and Im a accountant. My speech was messed, I talked in slow slurred stretched out sentences. Couldn’t find words, was monotone, and couldn’t connect sentences together. And I’m a social women with a lot of friends with a booming social life my whole life. And I never was a loss for words!I’m not saying I’m some kind of bigshot, but you don’t see me all suicidal either. I don’t know the reality of your lives, but all this pessimism is not normal. If I was only put on abilify, I wouldn’t know what ppl were talking about when they were talking about suffering so bad because I didn’t have a bad reaction to it at all, I hardly gained weight, I was able to workout, I was able to take workout supplements, I drank as much caffeine as I wanted, I did drugs, I worked I lived a normal life…I suffered a bit of slowing down, minimal weight gain, but it didn’t knock me completely out of psychosis….so they put me on Invega Sustenna. And it destroyed me! So yeah it just seems like you hit the sweet spot with Invega Sustenna and you lucked out with it knocking you out of psychosis. My psychosis was from adderall use by the way. So I’m not mentally ill eitherI really believe those who never recover are pessimistic people at the root. Let’s be honest. Do you really think they had a lot going for them in life to begin with? Sure, they just picked you out of the blue and gave you meds for no reason. Why can’t any of you admit to having issues and deal with them like adults instead?WTF do you think I am mate! I have a GF, a carreer in process, a family, I have had few jobs, my life has always been the best and now I am here stucked with people that is “mentally ill” but moreover with me wanting to kms. <edited out unnecessary comments - SMod>
One minute you’re on top of the world boosting about your workouts and going to clubs and everything and the next minute you’re in bed miserable saying you have a million symptoms youI wouldn’t wish this shot upon my worst enemy, but I have the balls to admit that there’s a reason for it.
Not at all. This drug is shit. All sorts of issues. I suffer all the same as you guys. I’m no different. I just think mindset is what separates some of us. I suffer too. But I refuse to lay down. I push myself to overcome the misery. Just trying to give whoever hope instead of turning this into a pity party. Future readers deserve to know that there is hope. One minute you’re on top of the world boosting about your workouts and going to clubs and everything and the next minute you’re in bed miserable saying you have a million symptoms you
You’re only 4 months off. Try being effected for 18 months with no improvement like some people. I was very optimistic at 4 months off.Not at all. This drug is shit. All sorts of issues. I get what you’re saying. It is definitely better to try to be positive through this. For me, it is hard to keep a positive mindset all the time, especially when you are chemically induced. You could have worded it differently though. I agree there is hope, but it is ok to be negative sometimes. This is a very unfortunate situation. Sometimes it is ok to complain.I’m not saying I’m some kind of bigshot, but you don’t see me all suicidal either. I don’t know the reality of your lives, but all this pessimism is not normal. Did it to me at 18 aswell. Really hope merik pulled through I’m really strugglingOh so you’re probably fully recovered then. That’s still fucked up though to inject you with antipsychotics at such a young age
Same. Have you noticed any improvements?Did it to me at 18 aswell. Really hope merik pulled through I’m really struggling
