I think we have to wait it out. It probably has something to do with hormones. I’ve tried creams but it hasn’t worked. If I’m remembering right, Katrina had it as well and it eventually went away.
Its the prolactin you can lower prolactin significantly by taking abilify pills low dose for 2 weeks. My prolactin was through the roof but was almost zero after taking 5mg abilify for 2 weeks. I also read that vitex castus agnus significantly reduce prolactin

Did anyone develop akathisia from invega, in other words the inability to sit or or stand still for extended periods of time? Of the countless side effects it caused me to experience, every one of them has improved either slightly or significantly except for that one. I really only feel the constant urge to move or tension in my legs, I also read that's its a very common side-effect from antipsychotics since they either partially or completely block dopamine, like invega. I mean sure I could probably live with it in the instance that it lasts for months to years but it's very distressing regardless.

I’m almost 10 months off and it is still bothering me. My Akathisia is not as near as bad as it was. But when I’m lying in bed, I can’t sit still. I thought it would have went away by now.

How many months you're off ? Akathesia usually goes away month 3 or 4

What are some good ways to reduce side effects and get rid of antipsychotics while on them. I have to take abilify injection and high dose olanzapine while on my treatment order and don’t want it to slow my recovery from Invega and cause bad side effects

Does exercise and eating healthily while on anti psychotics help get rid of quicker? Thanks

Back again. 1.4 months off 4 invega shots. (Only 2 affected me) . I’m only here again cuz I needed someone there to help me when I was going through all this shit. I’ve started working out like a mad man and lost 20 pounds in a little less than a month. I feel healthier and lighter. I can workout the same , and with the same intensity. My penis is back to 7 inches erect. Sexual functions continue to get better even though it’s already realllllly good. Maybe I’m just getting more testosterone idk. (Tmi) you guys can look at my previous posts It was a journey, I’m glad to say I’m back thanks to God. I’m nothing without him. He dug me out of so much shit including this bullshit that wiped me out for nine months. I hope this reaches and touches someone who is going through it, cuz trust me I went through this bullshit invega. Badly, wasting my life away thinking it would never end . I will continue to follow God. And I wish all you recover and find peace in life.

CB -out.

I'm sorry you are not going to recover while taking that stuff...expect maybe 25% Recovery
Try to manage olanzapine only or abilify only ...try to get off polydrugging
Hopefully your treatment order isnt that long

This morning i also got a bit off akathesia 7 months off the injection its because i take those damn pills even tho its a low dose. I'm still taking kratom as well i can't do without. i thought i would be less depressed and less anhedonic but its not. I have spend more than 1000$ on kratom by now

This only counts when you're off the antipsychotic
I still recommend to eat healthy

Dude just tell them the antipsychotics are making you incontinent just pee your pants in front of your parents or do it at the doctors appointment no way they are keeping you on so many drugs if it makes you incontinent. dont start about negative or positive symptoms. Make sure you have a spokesperson or advocate on your side

getting off the shot is better than orals..however make sure they dont put you back on invega

That's unusual, it's been over 6 months since the last and only injection of invega I recieved but it's still pretty significant even all this time after. I guess I'm just unlucky when it comes to recovering from akathisia specifically.
My akathisia also cleared fairly quickly, jt was one of the first things to go away for me

I assume you mean 14 months. Congratulations. Be on the lookout for dopamine supersensitivity and rebound psychosis at this point, especially if youre losing a lot of weight quickly. Have a plan in place with your loved ones about where they can take you and always tell the workers that you're allergic to the invega shot. Amazing job recovering and hoping the best for you in the future

Hey guys I'm new to this forum. I've been injected with the two loading doses two 75mg of sustenna, then one dose of trinza. The worst side effect of them all was weight gain/fat gain. I used to be a bodybuilder and am now looking like a walrus. Did those that recovered gain their former physique back. Will I look like my old self again. How long did it take?

From my experience, a former workout freak. No my body hasn’t gone back to its previous ripped self. Not one bit.

How long have you been off invega?

Have you been training like you used to? I got my last injection a month ago which is when I gave up on training for the time being. If you dont mind me asking how old are you?

Are you at least skinny? Like I said I'm a whale now.

I’m relatively skinny yes, no I don’t train like I used too. I can’t Invega ruined that unfortunately

Did you ever blow up after getting on invega. How long did it take to become skinny? Are you off invega? I read a lot of the forum and remember Merek saying he regained his physique.

Dont worry man. Since you were passionate about it before itll come back with time. How long have you been off?

This may be a lame question, but its been on my mind.

Does anybody believe many people from the previous threads who disappeared, actually ended it?

Like, why wouldn’t somebody who was scared shitless about this drug come back and give updates? Because there are no good news to give?

I know for sure that after feeling like complete shit on this drug, I will come back and post positive news when I (hopefully) recover.

I really don’t know what to think. Maybe they just got over this forum. Maybe they never recovered.

I think it’s kind of selfish not to come back with encouragement after posting tons of negative posts during recovery.

Big shoutout to paranoid android and the others for staying in touch. Thank you, it means alot.
As others have said, maybe it's because they don't want to be reminded of what they went through during their recovery so they don't want to come back in here once they've recovered. Maybe they have simply moved on with their lives and have forgotten about this forum because they no longer need the outlet and support. Maybe it is because some of them ended their lives, and sometimes we will never know. After moderating this forum, and specifically this Invega thread for many years I can say that a lot of people pop back in from time to time to update on their recovery. Not everyone disappears.

Did someone tried to contact people from the previous threads?
Yes, lots. A lot of people have outside contact with people from these threads, contact them, and come back to report about how they're doing (whether it's good or not so good).

I believe that some individuals who recovered may not want to associate themselves with this forum due to negative memories associated with it, and I would recommend same things too for some members to not spend so much time here every day since reading about others' experiences may not be beneficial for you.
Yes I would think that some recovered people might feel that way, for sure. They might just want to forget about Invega and move forward with their lives.

No one listens to me
I listen to you :)

Has anyone been put on Invega for major depression it’s only made my worse
I have no idea why any doctor or pdoc would prescribe Invega for depression. That is just ludicrous. I sincerely hope you don't have to get any more shots of it??

Lost, breaking bad, the sopranos, the boys, Barry, game of thrones, Ted lasso, the mandalorian, black bird and Fargo are all the good shows I’ve watched during recovery lol.
BARRY!!!! Bill Hader is one of my favourite humans on the planet, I love EVERYTHING he's ever done. Barry is AMAZING. Must watch!!!! <3
