Still cant believe I got my graphics card for 260€ and its as good as 2060 ti/3060. Damn what a find! My whole set cost 700€ to build with 6c/12 ryzen cpu, 16gb 3200mhz ram and rx 6600 (8gb)

@schizopath would you mind sharing what graphics card that is?

PS did you know a new version of System Shock is out? Check it out... It runs smooth as silk and is a faithful remake of the original...

signed a PC hardware nerd ...
Hello my Senpai, it is indeed the amd rx 6600 8gb. Best graphics card for hd gaming. Its 1.5 years old so its much more recent + upgrades + new technology and so on. in gaming it beats 2060 easily. Its on par with 2070 and 3060 with a much cheaper price.

Oh snap, a new ow2 season starts tomorrow and my 8 week ban ends!! Gonna play dat shit alot tomorrow :)

Thanks @Shady's Fox

I'm actually an O G Gamer but I certainly appreciate the offer. I just like to give folks an opportunity to talk about gaming and their gear.
My first job after the USAF was with Midway Games in the late 1970's. If you've played an Arcade Midway game from 1978 to 1984 then I probably worked on it in one way or another. A Big German engineering from recruited me away from the game industry in 1984 to work on more real world yet facinating stuff.

Here's my current rig:

i9 12900k @ 5.5 Ghz 64GB DDR5, RTX 4090 12 TB SSD

I'm long "retired" but still do occasional contract work. I have a (free) indie game in development, but since it is a solo effort I'm not sure it will ever get finished. If folks are truly interested I can post screenshots and vid captures.

I wasn't saying where the bus drops, but more of how you get into bus and that's by learning to talk. I never played those N-SD tonomates I did but it was virtual and that while playing Bully : Scholarship Edition where I had a mission to achieve scores. I was highlighting that AMD is 10 more toxic than Counter-Strike community nowadays. ( to say something in realm of digital ) in our it that should be stopped, but hey their american company after all these never disappear like sweat trapped on your towel. Purgatory.

They have no drivers for their products, and they do but what's beneath this layer of mechanics is random reg keys + java codes slapped together and call it a driver with 500MB. Not real anyway, has to be lower but they clone their configurations to make sure the installer at least start ahahahahaha. Their video cards market is after nVIDIA role model outfit ok, AMD technology < money payed to nVIDIA to glitch their "nexus" technologies within certain chips. AMD GAMING EVOLVED > NVIDIA psyhX which admitely after a short discussion with the employees seems that the purpose of this is to industrial objects, not by any means games not by any sort of catch/fetch editing/mining/folding. Is that in your face and you don't see it, that's what I saw when I was little around me and I still see it nowadays, misantrophism served free with no form of request. Their CPU's are ok for frying your food on, some don't do that. ( APU's) but these models since Ryzen do, specific to not scratch myself they're sociopath who put large sized pants with no belts on their clients and audience, and who is the audience, White Rose? who, KIDS BRO KIDS. 18-30 bam bam salary >>> RYZEN 5 32GB RAM RX 6969? feels forced because is. AMD is a phenomena since 2018 when inflations started and not many afford Intel/NVIDIA. But, if I am to buy RTX 4090 or latest RX 6969 what is? I guess I strap myself with a soap around my ass and ask why's itchy.. by doing this. Respect ;)

AMD should be permanently erased from existence.

Um, well thanks for expressing how you feel...

I built my business computer with a GT 730. Is just to display the informations available on screen.

I tried 4 AMD cards ( RX 580/550/480/HD 7970 )

the last one was what AMD defilated with, yeah. Gaming/CAD. I had to download someone configuration from Guru3D bc is legacy and the driver from company has blackout once it goes above 40c. Please don't put words in my mouth, I tried a watercooler option just to see is like Fermi. Although the nVIDIA fermi became maxwell later, not until long ago they were room radiator too, but no errors. ( I had a GTX 460) still have few old nvidia cards for my psychic collection.

All other 3 didn't work bc Adrenalin Software has stopped working. ( Win 7/8.1)

that easy, no blind envy whatsoever they simply are Made in China. like joke was.

GT 730 ?

Cool, that card is 9 years old. Can't say you didn't get your money's worth. As long as it does what you need it for. Speaking of which... the topic is PC gaming. What are you playing at the moment ?

Im quite happy on my current set. Self build and shitload of better than my /really old one.

ryzen 1400 (4c/8t)
8 gb ram
gtx 1060 3gb

vs

ryzen 5500 (6c/12t)
16gb ram
amd rx 6600 8gb

This generation amd beats nvidia both gpu and cpu

oh and 370 hours on resident evil 4... gonna buy me a new game to play alot of. Also been playing overwatch 2 for some 4-6 games a day.

Pssst, NVIDIA didn't invent video cards and the Intel 4004 (first commercially sold CPU) was created in 1971 for a calculator 10 years before the IBM PC. Tandy Radio Shack (amongst others) was making home computers with Intel chips years before IBM.
And that is no secret underground info; except to you, perhaps.

In fact, by the time the IBM PC came out I had already build and programed my home computer which controlled all the power routing and signaling for my model railroad.

back then, in 71' few had computers and those were mainly birocratique oriented reclusive corporations *them, who created it yeah then Dell was off-market for 1 year with IBM integrated solution just to do short story.

for me, they invented. IBM doesn't offer any polished product just a basic generic image generator. NVIDIA was first to bring vectors to image.
