Its been about 5 1/2 months since I recieved the last invega injection, since the 9th of December last year. I've definitely made a considerable recovery since then, I still have a few persistent side effects but hopefully with enough rest and excercise I continue to recover even further.
Do you mind sharing what side effects you’re still having?

Could someone explain to me if we’re all talking about the same Invega Injection? I’m just wondering if there are multiple versions of this poison. I was injected with Invega Sustenna.

Sure, well from what I'm aware of I'm still suffering from anhedonia a bit, in other words I still feel kind of lazy and unmotivated but I force myself through that. Same with akasthisia since I still feel slightly restless but is also improving over time. Don't wanna get too detailed of course but there's also sexual issues involved, which is one of two side effects I want to recover from the most. Like I said earlier my ability to think, focus, and be alert has also decreased because of invega, it's improved slightly but of all side effects is taking the longest to improve. The other concerning side effects I want to recover the most from is that I tend to go cross-eyed looking at objects from a distance which also wasn't an issue prior. There's a few more but I can't recall them at the moment, it would also make this comment too long haha.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

As far as I'm aware it should be yes, it seems to go by different names but in the end it still contains the primary ingredient known as Paliperidone Palmitate, which is interestingly similar in compostion to Heroin. It comes in dosages of 39, 78, 117, 156, and 234mg which is the one I recieved. Invega sustenna is also the shortest-lasting of three, typically people recieve it once a month after the initial loading dose. Theres also Invega Trinza which is identical to Invega Sustenna but has a higher concentration of Paliparadone Palmitate, which is given once every 3 months. That comes in dosages of 273, 410, 546, and 819mg. Finally the longest-lasting one is Invega Hayfera which is given once every 6 months after the patient has been treated with the lower concentrations for some time. That comes in dosages of 1,092 and 1,560, which honestly sounds ridiculous since 234 was already bad enough. Sorry for the long and technical comment I just wanted to give a detailed explanation.

The cross-eyed issue seems concerning I would definitely get that checked out by a doctor and while there mention other concerns you have
Yeah, like I said earlier it became a problem ever since I suffered a ministroke from Invega back in March I think. I'm desperately hoping it's not a permanent issue along with the other problems I mentioned, only time will tell I suppose.

My God Heroin no wonder why my period stopped. I’ve never done drugs before I’m sure that completely shocked my system. I was given two injections the 234 and 156 version about three days apart 😮‍💨thank you so much for breaking that down for me

I imagine some people who don’t recover are probably depressed as an underlying cause. That’s why I think substances are a better benchmark than emotions. If you can feel stims, then your brain is fine.

I could feel coke on abilify fine and that shit was just as bad as invega.

Do you know what milligrams you were on?

After taking the medication, it took about 3 weeks for me to feel the full effects. When I was at my worst, I couldn’t concentrate, I had terrible restlessness, I shuffled when I walked, I had no thoughts or consciousness, I couldn’t make eye contact, I had a terrible mood, I was easily agitated, I had anhedonia and the I couldn’t carry or create a conversation. I also couldn’t paint. I have been an avid oil painter for a long time. I Couldn’t concentrate enough to paint. I will try again soon to see if I have regained the skill. The worst 7 months of my life were after I took invega sustenna.
How do yoi feel now? Did your anhedonia go away? Were you suicifal

People who abused drugs often disappear from this forum btw. Eg- hopton.
His posts used to scare the living hell out of me. I realize meth users have dopamine issues. But I’m still worried stimulant blunting to a certain degree is permanent. I wonder what happened to him.

Interestingly, Merek told me he probably committed suicide. This was a few days before merek himself dissppeared.

My boyfriend told me that I seemed normal now compared to how I was after being injected with Invega Sustenna, he told me before I was really quiet (no thoughts) I was walking funny (shuffled walk) I wasn’t sleeping ( I went several days without sleep) I was just wondering since I’m new here if some of you could explain what you noticed after the injection, how could you tell something had changed? I remember noticing that I had to force myself to play music (not like me at all) I was forcing myself to clean up (I loved cleaning ) I also noticed that I couldn’t feel anything emotionally and sexually it wasn’t the same
It's a bit late of a response but I feel interested in mentioning my experience. So when I originally received the injection on the first day I only felt slight pain and discomfort on my arm where I was injected, otherwise I wasn't worried or concerned about it at all.
The second day I believe I was still ok. The third day onwards I started noticing that I was gradually becoming lazier, was developing sexual issues, having difficulty talking and understanding others, etc. So a week later as it continuously got worse I continued going to the gym in a state of panic hoping I'd metabolise the drug faster, but little did I know that would only make the situation worse. I felt very weak and could barely do any excercise, I nearly blacked out and felt dizzy and lightheaded every time I'd get up suddenly. By the end of that day I tried to sleep hoping that resting would help, only to realize that no matter what I did I literally couldn't fall asleep whatsoever. Once I eventually began to doze off I felt as if I was immediately electrocuted or shocked awake every time, something I've never experienced before. I thought it would only last for a day or two but boy was I so wrong, it went on not for days, not for weeks, but for months. In between that time I went to several doctors, emergency rooms, and hospitals desperately hoping for some kind of cure as my mind began rotting away but to no avail. Right when I thought I'd soon die from something like organ damage from long-term sleep deprivation, I one day miraculously regained the ability to sleep almost normally again, and from that point on I began recovering rapidly up to where I'm currently at.

How are you now compared to when you received the injection? What symptoms do you still have?
Halfway recovered from anhedonia. Halfway can feel coffee and alcohol, I must take x2 the dosage, while also I very rarely drink these. My interests are around halway back.
Recovered from upper body pains, my memory improved. I mostly recovered from insomnia, sometimes I have trouble falling asleep. Mostly recovered from akathisia.
Also recovered from arrhythmia and my hands don't constantly shake anymore. There are also other things I recovered from which I listed in my past posts.

At beginning of going off invega all my memories were at fog and at least 70% of them were inaccessible. Not to mention my short term memory was rubbish.

Two years is a long time to recover 50%, but at least it’s not permanent. I’m optimistic about the future

I’m 15 months off Invega Sustenna and my sexuality has finally come back 100% so that’s a positive. I had 17 shots, was on abilify mantana for six months before that and geodon and latuda after the 17 months of Invega so that’s a plus. I’ve also lost most of the injection weight I weigh 108lbs. Although my body hasn’t gone back to pre injection it looks different. The antipsychotics altered it. I still have neck fat and chin fat! And Invega Sustenna damaged my eyes I still can’t open my eyes wide and changed the look of my eyes. So there’s that. So Invega Sustenna does cause some permanent damage! I can workout but nothing like pre injections at all! I don’t do drugs or drink so I can’t comment on that. I still feel like I don’t measure up and am no where near as witty or smart as my pre antipsychotic self. I think antipsychotics cause permanent damage. Especially when you’ve been on a lot of them. 🤷🏻‍♀️
