HI everyone, anyone here from 2005-2009 era?

Outstanding to hear that, thanks for letting me know. Such a lovely community back then, I remember Jasoncrest, voodoochild, dextermeth. I hope all are alive and well too.

It is for sure good to be back but really prolly not good I am back if you know what I mean haha! I wish I could get my other account back man but that email is toast I used...

Welcome to Bluelight. I've been around the site since 1999-2000 but I didn't officially become a member till 2012(other than throwaway accounts). Its a great community. Glad You survived the early days of the opioid epidemic.

Dextermeth has unfortunately passed away. I'm not sure about the others(besides Negro) that you mentioned.

Good to have you back though I hope it's not because you've fallen back into addiction. See you around the site.
 
Back in those days I just lurked but I’m sure I read your posts as I was all about the opiates from 05-09. Those were literally my exact years, in 09 I got on Bupe. Last time I shot dope was ‘10.

Hey man thanks, I appreciate that, it is nice to meet you. I am super sorry to hear that about dex, fuck. Bless him and his family, he was a solid fucking dude.

And no thank the Lord, I have been clean from IV smack for 11 years now. No alcohol, no benzos, no tweak also for 11 years now. However, I do have to take hydrocodone sometimes for a serious back and neck injury I suffered by a drunk driver in 2017. Had surgery and it is a TON better but I still have these flareups that are extremely debilitating and painful. I will save my pillies up until I have a flare up, which is about 2-3 times a month. I then will take 70 mg right off the bat. I am prescribed 2 10's a day but I save them for when I have a flare up because they won't do shit otherwise. That is how much H blasted my receptors. After my accident, and when I first were prescribed Norco, I had been clean from all opioids for 6 years. The first time I took them I took 2 and felt nothing. In the end, I had to take 60 mg just to feel any relief. After all that sober time! Perma tolerance is real for sure I think.

I know this sounds like a person who is on the cusp of a relapse but it could not be further from the truth. I will never go back to that life and I will never be a slave again to a compound. I have been taking Norco sporadically for almost 6 years now and have had no issues or cravings. I had an OD in 2011 and it seriously changed my brain in a way that I am not fiending for dope or substances to take me out of reality anymore. Call it Gods blessing because it truly is unexplainable.

My page suggests I joined in 2009.

Some notable losses, amanitadine in 2014, Captain_Heroin in 2021 from a 2-Me-AP237, Limpet_Chicken sometime in 2020, and in weirder news, it was confirmed that John McAfee (the antivirus guy) did indeed post here as "stuffmonger" in a quest for the legendary "tan PV" and eventually died in a jail cell.

But other than that, it is onward and ever upward.

The main difference in drugs? Gone are the "funny drugs" like 2C-x and tryptamines, everything easy has been banned for years now. Now there are considerably more superpotent opioids and benzos, for a while there were potent psychedelics active at less than 1mg causing crazy ODs everywhere (NBOMe's), also a whole new class of CB1 agonists that were trivially easy to make but unlike THC could cause serious overdoses and even life threatening withdrawals (JWH-018 and friends) that continues to get stranger and stranger all the time, superpotent water soluble benzos active at sub-1mg doses are a thing now.
and shit keeps getting wackier by the day.

Some people on the Internet are convinced that he is alive & well in Texas.
It would be very bizarre and is quite unlikely, but I find such theories entertaining.

Yup been clean of stims 6 months trying to shake weed or at least be an occasional user. Still an alchy tho :p and still down with psychedelics

I was literally as young as I could of been while being just old and interested enough in these things to be lurking at the absolute earliest on here around 2007, but if I got one thing over all these years its a good memory, I certainly remember the username, welcome back old friend.
