๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ PD Social Thread 2022-2025 v. Year of the Phenethylamine

At 5'9" when I was about 27 years old I was 160 lbs. and ripped to the bone. I looked like one of those Abercrombie & Fitch models! Now I'm down to 142 lbs. and don't have an ounce of muscle on me. :(

Well, the good news is that if you've been ripped in the past, you will generally regain the muscle much quicker than a skinny ass beginner. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Okay, so I'm now wondering what height all you people are. I'm 6'2. I was a little twig when I weighed 70kg.

I'm 6 feet even. My lightest was about 130 pounds (~60kg), back in 2013. These days I'm more like 170, 175, but sad to say, less muscle, more fat these days.

Iโ€™m 6โ€™1. When I was 30 I weighed 135-140lbs. Today at 38 I weigh 185-190 and am still pretty lean. I never stepped foot in a gym until my 30s. I tend to go consistently for months and then take a month or two off. Fitting the gym in around a 9-5 job can be hard. Waking up early sucks, though there was a time I was going at 7 am everyday. After work was out of the question because thatโ€™s when I relax and get high. After my daughter was born going to the gym became even harder because i want to spend time with her both before and after work. I set up a home gym with the intent of using it after she goes to sleep but by 8 or 9 pm Iโ€™m too tired to workout because Iโ€™ve been up since 7 am and busting my ass at work. For the past month Iโ€™ve been going to the gym during my lunch break with a work buddy who is into fitness and pretty jacked. Iโ€™ve been getting the best exercise I ever have following a pretty standard 4 day bodybuilding split. Iโ€™ve been adding weight to my lifts every week. Theyโ€™re still nothing to brag about but I feel myself getting stronger. I donโ€™t see myself stopping anytime soon because going on my lunch break is very convenient. I then eat at my desk while I work. Exercise is the most effective antidepressant Iโ€™ve found.
I also just signed up to a sports and social club with the same work buddy. I have my first kickball tournament in 2 weeks.
I got a raise at work today. My paycheck is about to be almost 50% bigger than it was. This happened at the perfect time as my girlfriend is pregnant with our 2nd child and is now a stay at home mom.

For the longest time I thought that 1 foot was exactly 30 centimeters, and 1 inch was 2.54 cm. Which would be a totally ridiculous system of measuring things but okay.. So I always thought I was pretty much 6'3", never made any sense how everyone online was so small. I think I figured it out sometime last year?

Haha that's some dope subconscious statistical analysis there with that tiny offset

It's the fault of my primary school, really, we got taught a pound (lbs) was half a kilo, a foot was 30cm and a mile was 1.6km. They never said "roughly".

Somehow I never questioned that, although it made zero sense that the measurements would be a whole multiple of some metric value. Pounds and miles I figured out sooun enough, but it never happened for feet. It's really very stupid, because I actually knew they went up to 11 inches before they added a foot, and was very aware that it didn't add up to 30, so I just thought it was some idiot system only useful because it was intuitive for people that grew up with it.

I think that in a similar conversation on here once I actually said that I was 6'3" so it really wasn't very long ago.

That's almost anti americanism; or dare i say, americaphobia

As David Bowie sang: I am afraid of americans - i am afraid of the world

I still struggle with pounds. My brain just recoils at multiplying by 2.2 (even as I type, I feel my uncertainty about that) and honestly saying I bench 200lbs sounds way better. ๐Ÿ˜€

Hey, kilo to pounds is the easiest metric to imperial conversion there is! And yeah, pounds make you sound stronger, for sure. :multicolorheadbang:

Fahrenheit makes it seem hotter too. Saying it's 100 degrees sounds like a lot more extreme than saying it's 38 degrees.

Actually the Fahrenheit scale is more accurate across the human-livable temperature range, because there are more degrees within the same range.

I always have to cheat when I'm converting pounds to kilograms, because I've been too lazy to memorize the formula. Right now I'm 147 lbs. so that makes me about 66.7 kg.

1,75m (5,9โ€™), 75-77kg (165-170lbs).

Really need to go the gym more often, but cardio is where my heart is at. I am also kinda blessed (or cursed) with my body type so I donโ€™t lose weight easily. Started playing icehockey at an early age so that definitely helped setting a good foundation.

Drugs are sold in a combo of metric and imperial which also confused me. Buying grams of weed than suddenly it turns into ounces and pounds before resolving into kilograms again. ๐Ÿค”

Got the money back for the deposit from that weirdo in Jersey City. So thats cool its literally half of one months rent and i needs that. Im gonna be moving most of my stuff to the new apartment Saturday and then leaving here for good on Monday.

Tommorow night me and my girl are gonna rent a room tho and imma take a monster dose of FXE orally and see how it feels just using that ROA, im excited. Also some Pregabalin to kick in after the peak so i can add some euphoria and get to sleep easier, will be an epic time im sure.

I'm still recovering from shoulder surgery, but as soon as I'm all healed up I'm determined to start lifting weights again.

PS - My orthopedist is the cutest woman ever. I've never looked forward to seeing a doctor so much!

Indeed.

I think the imperal distance measurements are the most ridiculous, 12 inches in 1 feet, 3 feet in 1 yard and (let me look it up) 1760 yards in one mile. Seems a little unserious.
Also, like nothing smaller than ounces? 16 ounces in a pound, 14 pounds in a stone.

It's been done to death but it always cracks me up.

It would fit me though, being an American imperial system user, I like the numbers.

I'm stuck in traffic every day, my number one occupation during is to make equations work with all the numbers and letters in number plates. You can make use of all operators, even modulo, powers and whole divisions (and you always get % 26 for free). There might be at least one solution for a very large amount of number plates, just need to come up with one. Very satisfying.

"BLUELIGHT" would be an easy one, and satisfying cause it all just plusses and minuses. L+I= U, E+B=G, L+H=T.
