Yeah, I had 17 shots of Invega Sustenna that literally screwed me big time. Then I was on Geodon for seven months which made me a zombie and now I’m on Latuda. The drug that did the most damage was Invega Sustenna…my words are still relevant @Merek as I still am going through the recovery process off Invega Sustenna but I feel like latuda is screwing me now. I feel like by 8 o’clock at night I’m just down for the count and can’t really think or do anything which really sucks. I get this really uneasy feeling and my brain just wants to shut off really. Oh well I’m going for a workout! Hopefully can get lower than 114lbs soon!

Guys don’t listen to these negative posts apsucks is still on 5mg abilify and also received abilify injections, HelpMeInvega is still on 20mg latuda and took a bunch of other meds during recovery, UnluckyXeplion had 7-8 shots and is claiming the damage is permanent but is only 6 months off so there’s really no way for him to tell that it’s permanent yet.
I was about 16 or 18 months off invega before starting abilify
5mg abilify is low dose i hope i can recover while taking that garbage

Glad you're feeling better my friend.
For me nothing major has been improving yet, probably due to the number of shots I received.
7 or 8 shots you need at least 12 months to recover..minimum

Kyle took 8 invega shots and recovered after 18 months while taking abilify injections

You might recover to some extent but you’ll never be at your full potential taking abilify I have a friend irl who’s taking the abilify pill 5mg and says she has depression anhedonia etc she’s never taken any injections of anything or paliparadone why are you on abilify? Do you absolutely need it or do you think you’d be fine without it if you need to take an ap seroquel or latuda is better.

recovery can take up to four years

Ya that’s fucked up the government pays the makers of anti psychotics to give them to people as a keep them out of jail drug cause the prisons are so packed id much rather go to prison then take aps for a long period of time how long are you on CTO?

One year CTO .......already been on one for six months

Abilify actually makes me hypersexual and psychotic like invega did

What you think about abilify?
I know you're not asking my opinion, but I'll provide mine anyway. While paliperidone seems to affect everybody basically the same way, other antipsychotics seem to have varied effects. Some people have reported serious problems with abilify, while I have had serious problems with abilify but not those that most people have reported. I took abilify for two extended periods in my life, both 10 years apart. On both occasions, I developed severe, irreversible, incurable weight gain. First time, I went from being a skinny athlete all my life to being obese. On both occasions I gained about 40 pounds. I also developed severe central breathing problems (problem with subcortex regulating breathing) (which has no known cure, and nothing works to help it)--thankfully, the breathing problems went away on its own after a month. These severe side effects from abilify, of course, are unacceptable and the psychiatric profession ought to do something (but they do nothing no matter how hard I've advocated). I never had weight gain or breathing problems on any other occasion in my entire life, it was only in proximity to taking abilify and these two occasions were 10 years apart! Despite exercising vigorously and eating very healthy (to such an extent that most people would have lost lots of weight) I have never been able to lose the majority of the weight.

So anyway, some people say that abilify can cause anhedonia and sexual dysfunction, too. This has not been the case for me, but I developed other very severe problems from abilify.

While it seems like anything would be better than paliperidone, I have to say that I rightfully suspect all antipsychotics of being potentially unacceptably dangerous, a reality the psychiatric profession is denying and doing nothing about. I know there are people that need antipsychotics, so my suggestion would be to do as much research and ask around from first-hand accounts as much as possible to try to determine an antipsychotic that causes the least harm. If I knew of such a candidate (after very thorough research) I would tell you but I don't know.

Consider what the drug companies and psychiatrists and research say about the potential harms of a particular antipsychotic, and then assume also that there are possible serious life destroying side affects that they don't know about/don't want to acknowledge (and that have to be ascertained from first hand accounts, etc.), or even that some of the problems that they admit, they are understating greatly. For instance, originally, no psychiatrists warned about abilify's weight gain effects, until a lawsuit was filed against the manufacturer for hundreds of millions of dollars! And then, even after that, psychiatrists and the drug companies undersell the weight gain, not mentioning that it could be (and was for me) very very severe and incurable and irreversible (big difference from a seemingly "moderate" weight gain that is easily reversible). Psychiatry has done a poor job of warning patients about side effects and being honest about them. They play a lot of games and do intentional distortion and outright lies, sad to say. While I was on paliperidone, not one of my psychiatrists involved had warned me about depression or sexual dysfunction from paliperidone. It was only just this week that my current psychiatrist (who had not overseen me on any antipsychotics, I've been off them since working with him) acknowledged that antipsychotics in his experience and in the literature can cause sexual dysfunction and that paliperidone can, too (which is still understating the problem).

Do you think smoking weed will help my recovery? will it help heal my brain?
First, I don't think you should smoke, you should vape if possible and affordable ;) But, many people, including myself, have been completely shut off from all psychotropics, including coffee and weed, as a result of the severe depression and sexual dysfunction caused by paliperidone. For me, it has gone on for 13 months straight with no improvement or change. So, therefore, I say to you, if weed actually affects you and positively, in spite of "paliperidone syndrome," that is a miracle of miracles! If you can attain joy or relief from any source, and especially this one, that is a miracle, and certainly a positive sign in regards to your nervous system. It's a very promising sign, although I can't comment on if it will help heal your remaining problems because I have not heard an account of it doing so. But I imagine there is a good possibility that it could.
.
Some people have problems with weed exacerbating mental health issues, but many people, myself included, are totally fine with it--if anything, for us, it helps promote mental health and well being, it is a true blessing and mercy from nature, way more natural, evolutionarily supported, and effective than the vast majority of synthetic pharmaceuticals that can often have very bad side effects.

I smoked weed for a long time, long before being injected. It did nothing bad, only made me laugh, relaxed me and gave me a sweet euphoric feeling with a big appetite. No side effects from weed that's true.
Side effects belong to synthetic man made drugs like you said.
Natural substances in moderation will never render your sexual organ useless like Xeplion did to me.
I haven't tried to smoke weed after being injected, so I don't know if I'll able to get high, but I won't be surprised if weed wont affect me at this point.

I know vaping is considered an healthier option, but I prefer the classic way of rolling and smoking a good joint.
