Heroin/Fentanyl Withdraw Help

Yeah this happened to me with fentanyl withdrawal, it was strange. My mouth kept on filling up with saliva on startlingly constant basis. I had to carry a cup around with me to spit into. Not sure how I didn't experience severe dehydration as a result (however I wasn't throwing up -- I've actually never thrown up from opioid withdrawal, no matter how severe, it just doesn't happen to me for some reason).

As to your question, methadone certainly does help fentanyl withdrawal, but there are limits. Whenever I mention this people seem shocked, but I actually experienced full blown opioid (fentanyl) withdrawal while still on a daily methadone dose of 380mg/day. I was injecting around 40mg/day of fentanyl (extracted from fentanyl patches) for a while and suddenly ran out. The 380mg/day of methadone was merely my baseline, so when I abruptly went from ~40mg/day of IV fentanyl to 0mg, I got quite sick, despite still being on a massive amount of methadone.

How much fentanyl/"heroin" were you taking a day? You might try and get some clonidine because it is very likely that the stuff you were taking contained xylazine, which has its own rebound.

Thanks for responding. I never had the spitting thing until the dope changed to mostly fentanyl like 3-4 years ago.

I was getting off the street and on 140mg methadone and im outside Philly so we have bags here and i used 14 a day, daily for the past 13 years straight. No rehab or significant clean time over a day or two since 2008.

I hear you on the full blown withdraw. I never had an issue until the dope changed. I never would have thought this could happen. Just not too smart i guess.

But the saliva thing is disgusting. Im on day 6 and still spitting. Just starting eating after the 6 days today tho.
 
Use comfort meds first lopermide stop the shitting helps so much a quick tapered use of lyrica which so good in detox . I done cold turkey before and it was heel using pods and heroin 13 years before that detox . Had many more and lyrica is so good but I got addicted to that us it a after day 4 taper down for a few days .
The mental side the hardest but focus on getting clean you can do it

Hang in there man. Truly, if I HAD R-4066 then I would airmail it to you (since it isn't legally controlled).

And here's me worrying over my 80mg/day OxyContin use. It could be so much worse.

You will get a lot of help here my brother detox does not have to be hell use meds but only for 10 days max lyrica is a miracle for detox you know you detoxing sneezing back legs in pain but no anxiety it stops it but don't jump addictions lyrica is a worse withderawl the heroin . On 4th day taper down take time of work your brain is your enemy it try to justify using again tell it to fuck off . Message me or other members if you need any help I used to hate people saying the detox the easy part but they were right .

You have made a decision to stop using that is a big step keep strong brother this place is a massive help I always tell people who think we scim look at this site and they will see how we help each other . For me this place and great members here stopped me from making a big mistake.

Thank you so much. My addiction has been a lonely road of destroying anything and everything. I somehow have a good job but am scared shitless that I'm about out of get out of jail free cards with them.

Hope maybe there's things I can contribute here also

I am a functioning addict i dont function when I'm off the gear heroin actually saved my marriage but my kids growing up are a blur heroin inslaves you it runs our lives .The states when I'm back I stick to pods fucking fent for has become Russian roulette and people tell me it not as good as heroin .
Keep your mind focused I stayed clean for over a year one day I laughed at a comedy it felt great because I knew I'm getting better its a great feeling . With your work start acting like your getting the flu . I made out I had back pain made it look like I'm in pain but I'm coming in and getting in the lorry after a few days my pretend scatica got so bad I had to have time off . I should have got a oscar its cuntish thing to do but its for a good cause you come first
 
Use covid as your excuse cough your arse off they will want you to stay home look up some of the symptoms are play the role I became the part I was playing a method actor .b but Beware of karma a few months after that i actually got the sciatica .
Keep hydrated lope for the diarrhoea is a massive help i love the sex drive coming b ack a few tugs and its done used up most of my socks .
I tried the methadone detox got some of a pal who got take homes what was meant to last a week i done by day 2 but i know a few people who did it like that and not go to well because pods and raw opium is a long withdrawal . Remember a few bumps in the road are normal keep letting us know how you are getting on

made it through another night. started getting real sick around 3am but dosed 90mg methadone at 6am.

Finally starting to feel somewhat decent now around 1030. Also started using a weed cart yesterday to settle me down when i was getting anxious and seemed to help.

I dont use forums or facebook so i dont know if im violating rules or doing somewhat in the wrong area.

I have about 1000 most saved up but I am so scared that it won't work or I will need to take so much I might OD on methadone. I'm freaked out because I have a great job and got on methadone in the first place to avoid all this.

Fenty is usually mixed with a benzo like xanax these days. My first xanax withdrawal i was awake 3 days puking NON STOP no sleep. I guarantee the problem is cold turkey benzo withdrawal because that much mdone is enough to cover atleast most of the opiate withdraw part. I had 2mo fety binge myself not long ago but was fine, already being on the same mdone (115mg) & having a xanax script. When i stopped it was just mental cravings.

Lots of people are going through this same thing getting sick not realizing its the benzodiazepam cut into the fenty. We really need to spread this info. Unless its pharma, 75% fent will have a cheap benzo cut in it, xanax or etizolam, to increase its nod power with less pricy fent in it.

People often buy their next fent batch & get sick thinking its weak, not realizing the real issue is they've built up a physical benzo dependency, and that batch simply has no benzos cut in it.
The power of benzos is crazy & everyone underestimates them thinking its just a soccer mom stress pill or something when the withdrawal is just as bad as opiates.

Ah you're past the worst. Taking Xanax now would just prolong the problem. Sounds like you'll be back to normal in a couple days.

Ya know I felt that "need" hit me today around the same time and got some delta 8 (fuck that thc-o - for me, anyway :0 ) and has me feeling fairly OK and just seems more "insightful" for lack of a better term.
This is the only place I come online on PC or other devices. No social media. Never cared for it and only reason why I made an account on FB was like 10 years ago when I sold off about 12-13 really nice laptops on ebay and locals. Never had a complaint ever.
As a matter of fact; I held one new Dell touchscreen laptop that was brought in for "virus removal" and I wanted and bought it. Upgraded the hell out of it because it became my "work station".
Logged into FB.
Raided. Got charged with receiving stolen goods. I had video of the whole transaction and submitted it and it was a good year fefore they threw it out. Lead investigator said some sideways thing about me "not fitting the profile" and remember feeling like he had already prejudged me and felt kinda like, "what a place to be". But have been there so takes one to know one, I guess.
Anyway you are here. Stick about for a min before jaberwocky show up. kinda like those old ghost stories around here. :eek:
