I recently asked my Doc for a Viagra script. Even though she's my mental health provider she's pretty open-minded and a nurse practitioner to boot so she said OK and said she'd send it in with my other Rxs. I didn't ask how many or what strength since I'd never tried it before
Next day the pharmacy called & said my insurance wouldn't cover it. Okay, go ahead and fill it anyways and I'll pay for it myself.
I wasn't particularly surprised. Probably needs to be prescribed by a urologist or something, and still probably has a high co-pay, since my insurance is not that great.
When I went to pick up my prescriptions one of them was missing. I know my insurance won't pay for the Viagra, but I said I'd pay for it out-of-pocket. The woman looked on her screen, came back and said there wasn't a prescription for Viagra. Well that can't be because you called me to say it wasn't covered, so check again...please.
She kind of rolled her eyes this time which I didn't mind. I was running out of pharmaceuticals to experiment with and wanted to get that Blue Diamond Phillips sensation. Did it have any other effects besides prolonged, more powerful erections? Could it enhance sex in other ways? What about orgasm? I wasn't afraid of my erection lasting 4 hours. I'd be in my car at that point driving to the ER. For a dick shot. Probably pretty routine... Sorry, she came back, there isn't a prescription for Viagra in your file. Well that's preposterous I thought, but didn't push it.
Since covid my provider only does video appts so it's impossible to get a written prescription. The last thing I want to do is try to score some illicit
️
I wouldn't know where to try, outside the gates of a retirement community? And I have insurance so why spend extra $$$ for one of those online doctors
This has me feeling kind of frustrated. Am I making a big deal out of an overrated experience or am I being unjustly denied?
