Heroin Issues w veins when longterm injecting heroin base vs hydrochloride?

As a long time h smoker who switched over to injection a few months ago, my paranoia is about what long term damage i am doing to my veins injecting what is end of the day supposed to be a smoking heroin (the kind most commonly available in Europe). A quick google search says that injecting citric acid into veins is a terrible idea, but this is quite unavoidable? And yes I realise the h is worse than the citric acid lmao, but harm reduction ideas here? Longterm Europe based injectors are your veins still okay? Any recs would be great, cuz just smoking doesn't do it for me anymore, snorting isn't really an option with this type of h, but i don't want to completely destroy all my veins cuz vanity i guess. thnx

It’s the acidity. Use pH papers or some method to check the pH of the solution you are about to inject. These can allow you to better titrate your acid and if you go over.. titrate with sodium bicarbonate you’d then add to raise pH again.

You could also make heroin acetate with distilled vinegar (must be distilled!!!) then dry it completely. For safe measure add some more water and dry again to ensure all the acetic acid has evaporated out of the product. Scraping it up and chopping it up also helps.

Now you’ve got shooting heroin with no risk of over acidifying your dope or veins. Also this may mean nothing to you but the whole process may degrade a small amount of the heroin into 6-MAM via hydrolysis. (6-monoacetylmorphine the active metabolite of heroin which is overall a better drug then heroin itself.)

Waittttt omg, did I understand this right? You're saying i can make type 4 out of type 3 myself? Just by cooking with distilled vinegar? No other steps? Would this also purify out contaminants/impurities or would that require a different process? From ''average'' (not street, but not top notch either) type 3, is it possible to get pharmaceutical grade basically? Or just street level 4 like in the yankees have? So many questions, if you can shoot me a few explanations (or even just clarifying links or whatever) I'd be deeply grateful!!

Yup #3 to #4. Only difference being it’s the acetate salt and not hydrochloride. I wouldn’t expect much purification, a little bit. You can make it more pure but there would be additional steps.

You don’t really want to cook with the distilled vinegar. What should happen is when you drop the heroin in you’ll notice it slowly break down and dissolve until there’s a tiny bit or none left. (Anything that doesn’t dissolve isn’t heroin and should be discarded by filtration.) The conversion is complete without any need for heat, heat just accelerates the reaction.

Then place in a glass dish like a Pyrex baking dish to dry completely. Whenever playing kitchen chemist don’t throw away anything until you see a full success.
