Why do I sometimes get headaches the day after taking Heroin?

I noticed this with some batches of Heroin that I get. I take some H in the evening, go to sleep and the next day I wake up with a horrible pulsating headache that gets worse when I stand up. Is this due to some cut? These batches are really potent but I can't get into nodding territory without my head exploding the next day.

Sounds like a hangover ? Smoking to many cigarettes can give you a nasty headache too

Yeah, opioids shouldn't come with rebound headaches, my guess is that your H is cut but of course everybody's chemistry is different.

I get rebound headaches from morphine/codeine and kratom if I take too much. If I take way too much hydrocodone or oxy I also get them but more rarely. It could also be from a cut but headaches are possible from overusing opiates

Maybe the body metabolizing the substances puts extra stress on organs leading to dehydration or something similar

After a night of crack I'd get these hangovers and first thought it was the cut or because I only binge every other month.

We generally assault our systems with such indulgence and our body is naturally trying to return and maintain homeostasis. Meanwhile presumed side effects during this process

You really, REALLY shouldn't get that effect with ordinary heroin. I've been a regular user for over a decade and have never experienced this issue.

Der Stoff muss mit was-weiss-ich-was kontaminiert/geschnitten sein. Sei bitte vorsichtig und falls du kannst, gib' eine Probe zur chemischen Analyse ab.

Heroin hangovers are very real, so are coke hangovers meth hangovers alcohol hangovers benzo hangovers, you just have to do a lot

I feel like this could be so many different things. Maybe the fact that you're breathing less when you're on Opioids is getting less oxygen to your brain and the rebound effects of this present as a headache. This is just one of 4 dozen different possibilities circling in my head. I hope you get some answers, but know that it's basically impossible for us to ever tell you why you're getting a headache, as even my general practitioner with all available instruments and diagnostic testing, still often find headaches to be idiopathic or otherwise of unknown cause. Headaches are one of the body's signs notorious for "it could be anything".

Thank you for all the answers. I'll buy from another dealer next time.

Ich hab jetzt gestern mal weniger konsumiert und hatte diese Kopfschmerzen nicht. Ich glaube es hatte was mit der Menge zu tun.

I'm not so sure about that. I occasionally use a lot of heroin to nod and don't get any hangover the next day. I think Keif Richards answer makes the most sense, but it could also be residual contaminants as Snafu said. I get this very rarely and only with some batches, so it can't be a result of the heroin itself.

EDIT:
I have read somewhere that Heroin is sometimes cut with rat poison. This could be the cause of the headaches.

Dehydration.

When I used to take tramadol and co codamol in the day I'd wake up with a headache even though I wouldn't take before bed as they caused insomina, painkillers causing headaches fucksake

These days the valium makes me wake up with headaches sometimes worse than others, but as posted above I think that's dehydration, the opioids wasn't though, they just have listed side effects "may cause headaches"

Definatly agree with the headaches being caused my overuse. I get the headaches from both H and oxycodone if I take too much.

Drinking fluids and eating seems to help alot(if your not still nauseous)
