Will Someone Please Explain this Rampant Hateful Aggressive “Gnostic Christianity” to Me?

thinkiin about only pleasures in this short life is useless for me
Heard. It is fleeting at best. Fun maybe for a minute but look at all we are missing....
I will go on record to say that living life is a pain but then whats it all about? Curiosity is a hell of a trait. (got this from furry friends too... i just dont lick my ass and whatnot). :sneaky:

Sorry broda....cannot understand your post.If you wanna you make it more simple...just like a try to explaine something for foreign guy.If it you don't ......have a nice day

I took most of what I wrote from:
It's a BIG,big delusion man.Feel sad for this people.I am also an currently addicted to valium&bupre man,but to be so careless and thinkiin about only pleasures in this short life is useless for me.It's even scary 'cause show how fallen is became a man, witch brings the light of divine in himself.
Maybe I misunderstood that the "pleasures" were a reffrence to the being on valium or bubre (maybe carefree...? ) it is i suppose for a while. but not sure exctly how to interpretet your writings (any many others here as well) abut like to spend time here cause it keeps me off dacona. (the corner). ;)
I was thinking that you were tired of chasing the breeze as if there are better things to hold onto: Any come to mind right off?

The pleasures are good. The bad is when you live only for this and loose the inner feeling to search an answers.....to forget that you are human...as to bupre&valium- they are not pleasure for me.I take it to feel normal and work....never abuse it and nodding on them.Yes my english is bad,but also the way i try to explaine something is probably nonuderstandable for many i am sure about that.Sometimes i am insane for a while, can not find my glasses and all my sentences are full of errors. It's not easy to comunicate online when the eye contact and nonverbal communications are missing.Love you too brother.Wish you calm&chill Sunday.

loose the inner feeling to search an answers.
I see, now.
And totally agree if there is something good to replace it with. Whatever that may be (a significant other, a "pet", friend, comrade etc) if it distracts from whats real it is garbage and illusion. Is some worth the hassle of becoming dependent (possibly) only on one (counted 6 also caf and cig today) substance that cost pennys a year? Heaven or hell. But ya know what...? Its maybe not where one is at but what one makes of it. Cannot explain this yet. lol
:)

:)That is right on target-"not where one is at but what one makes of it"

People might not be born with religion, but they are born with spiritual perception. Even science acknowledges this, albeit in a reductionist/evolutionary science kind of way. And by spiritual I mean, we all have had moments of awe that are transcendent from our every day reality, wherein we feel something bigger and higher than ourselves. Religion has tried to codify a primal experience, but the experience of awe can be had by anyone without instruction.

As for delusion. Well, if you look deeply into people, everybody is delusional in some way. We have internal frameworks and belief systems that aren't really testable but they keep us moving through the world without losing our minds. Rather than asking if someone is delusional or not, it's maybe more accurate to ask if they are aware of their own delusions. I find people who automatically follow their delusions without awareness to be tantamount to robots and I generally avoid them. Their delusions can eventually cause damage to themselves and others. That's what I like about some of the eastern religions. Delusion is a given because we all have monkey minds that don't see clearly.
Perception, cognitive bias, I think there are others, I haven't read up on bias in a while and I should.

There is this idea I heard of the other day that all passion comes with suffering.
Passion means suffering. That is the meaning of this word. It's curious that so much people when heard this word imagine -sex passion or something simmilar....no the passion of Christ means strong sufferings

Questions on Gnostic Christian attitudes?

Here is one of them.

Hey @Atomic_Decay

Just saw this on YouTube.. Interesting.

I know nothing of this "hateful rampant Gnosticism" but I can see the appeal of a myth like this where "something went terribly wrong". Thing is though, we now know better than to take the stories literally.

There's no excuse to be hateful toward other people because we know we're all descended from monkeys!! So we all suffer from this whatever "going terribly wrong". It doesn't sound like my cup of tea.. Nothing Judeo-Christian is.

This, and all supernatural garbage, is not a Gnostic belief.

We humans definitely belong here on earth.

One cannot say that there is a God, and then say he screwed up on creating us in the wrong location.

That would be stupid.

Gnostic Christians see heaven, here and now, and the best of all possible worlds.

It gets longish.

Let me speak to the lie of Gnostic Christians hating matter.

I wrote this to refute the false notion that Gnostic Christians do not like matter and reality that the inquisitors propagated to justify their many murders of my religion’s originators. It shows that Christians should actually hate matter and not Gnostic Christians.

The Christian reality.

1 John 2:15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Gen 3; 17 Thou shalt not eat of it; cursed is the ground for thy sake; in toil shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.

-----------

The Gnostic Christian reality.

Gnostic Christian Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all.

[And after they have reigned they will rest.]"

"If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you.

If they say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will precede you.

Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is outside of you.

[Those who] become acquainted with [themselves] will find it; [and when you] become acquainted with yourselves, [you will understand that] it is you who are the sons of the living Father.

But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

As you can see from that quote, if we see God's kingdom all around us and inside of us, we cannot think that the world is anything but evolving perfection. Most just don't see it and live in poverty. Let me try to make you see the world the way I do.

Here is a mind exercise. Tell me what you see when you look around. The best that can possibly be, given our past history, or an ugly and imperfect world?

Candide.
"It is demonstrable that things cannot be otherwise than as they are; for as all things have been created for some end, they must necessarily be created for the best end.”

That means that we live in the best of all possible worlds, because it is the only possible world, given all the conditions at hand and the history that got us here. That is an irrefutable statement given entropy and the anthropic principle.

While it can certainly be overly aggressive...it's basically correct. I mean, there is zero proof whatsoever that there is a god.
Perhaps.

What are your thoughts on substance dualism?

Take away the stupid supernatural and you see that we all have a non-physical God side.

It is to us to step up and fill that role.

Let me let you in on a little secret. You didn't get another vacation for telling the truth. You have so many points that any extra ones given triggers another time out for ya. We encourage you to keep speaking the truth as when you can hold your tongue on the insults your posts aren't half bad.

But you let others trigger you and you start calling them stupid and all kinds of other defamation. Just because they come at this thing a little different from you doesn't make them stupid or any less educated in religion than you are.

If you could possibly manage to keep insults out of your posts it would go a long way in your ability to post here daily.

And your quote doesn't reflect Bluelight policy. This is the most lenient forum I have ever posted on and we let people express their opinions in many different ways. We draw the line when you insult our other members.

So it is taught/instilled?
Actually, until a certain age, kids are entrenched in their narcissism, as Freud noted.
Because all children experience themselves as center of creation until a certain age (and rightfully so; they scream out their needs and those needs get tended to), narcissism is inevitable.
