Agreed. Although I don't like Biden, I still would rather have a prez who forgets things and sometimes gaffes than one who purposely and knowingly spreads lies and bullshit. The two don't even compare IMO.

The January 6 thing is political theater thats Nothing more that red meat for the base. It also put the absolute duplicity of the law on full display. The riots during floyd, which were state sanctioned resulted in many deaths and mass property destruction. January 6 was a bunch of boomers let into the capital to take selfies, where a hundred pound trump supporter was assassinated. One has political prisoners, show trials and the other was memory holed. that’s how the other half sees it, and it’s the reality of the situation imo

Ever since the establishments color revolution during the riots of 2020 they have been getting more and more radical. When the Biden regime started blaming “big meat“ and the oil companies of price gouging, as well as talking about price controls, that really started to set off some alarm bells. With each day that passes, the more sure I am that Balkanization is the only path forward.

I feel like I am repeating myself but Jan 6 was about more than just property damage and violence, which is why comparison to Floyd riots don't hold water. Jan 6 was a carefully thought out scheme planned months in advance with the intention of overturning a free and fair election in order to install an unelected dictator. How many military veterans claim to fight for democracy only to have a bunch of redneck rioters storm the capitol assaulting dozens of Capitol Police and literally wiping shit on the walls? To do what? Overturn a democracy.
That they were a "bunch of boomers let in to take selfies" is falling for the Fox News/Newsmax propaganda right wing spin of their take on what happened. The only explanation I can come up with for how people like you feel this way is because y'all ain't watching the impeachment trials or Jan 6 hearings or reputable news video footage to see how violent the Capitol attack actually was. How does the Cool-aid taste my friend?

That's not really the point... they tried. Do we just ignore that sort of thing unless it's done by competent people? Shouldn't we still be deeply concerned that it happened? Shouldn't we be even more deeply concerned that it has become clear that Trump and some other Republican politicians tacitly or outright supported this weak attempt? That's why the hearings are interesting, and important. because there is a lot of damning evidence being revealed, by his own people, that, at best, some government officials used a bad situation opportunistically. That is a very dangerous thing, the sort of thing that undermines democracies if left unchecked.
Let me put it this way, do you think that, if what I'm saying is true, and there were government officials who either helped an attempt to overturn an election/hang the vice president, or failed to try to stop it because of their own personal political gain, that we shouldn't get those people the fuck out of our government? Why should we ignore this if there is any chance it's true, and just say "ah, a bunch of a dipshits, it wouldn't have worked, let's forget it and move on"? I want to find the fuck out what happened and if it's what seems to me to be super clear did happen, actually happened, I want that faction prosecuted, or at the very least, removed from the government, because that is the worst kind of cancer on our civilization, if it is in fact there. No?

Those are facts, it's all on video. To characterize it as "a bunch of boomers let in to take selfies" is, in the most generous interpretation, disingenuous to an extreme.

But "a primitive democracy usually takes shape in small communities or villages when there are face-to-face discussions in a village, council or with a leader who has the backing of village elders or other cooperative forms of government." this doesnt happen anymore its all buttons and digital.
And this: "Democratic government is commonly juxtaposed with oligarchic and monarchic systems, which are ruled by a minority and a sole monarch respectively." Says a lot to me but being a nobody has its privileges.
Either we figure a way out of this quagmire soon or its end game. No one is actually doing shit fuck all but talking all over the news, highways and byways. Distracting, appeasing bullshit.

on the topic I can not see a solution to mass shooting.
I can print a fully automatic in a day and if im using rimfire I can use chlorate from matches as my primer and powder just by wiping some of it in the creases of the rim and reloading.
how can they control that and the FGC's are getting 15 rounds a second and are stable now they use metal barrels.
This I think is a problem we are going to have till the end of time.
