Not carry in the open, just carrying at all… it was unconstitutional from the get go to put licensing in the hands of arbitrary bureaucrats who could deny permits on a whim.NY makes it easier to carry in the open. Lol
They are applying the same liberal ‘logic‘ about guns to butter knives in London now.
it is a written document that gets argued to deathit was unconstitutional
I talk to a few londoners on discord that I got to confirm that they do indeed require ID for kitchen cutlery sets including butter knives. And most people have seen the pics that circulated about it. Regulating law abiding citizens doesn’t help this particular problem of societal rot unfortunately. This womans testimony pretty much sums up guns for most of us. so powerfulbullshit.
while it's true that the u.k. is making changes to its knife laws, there is nothing focusing on - or even just including - butter knives specifically. here's a page on the law which explicitly lists banned knives: Selling, buying and carrying knives
you're lying to try to make the moves seem more draconian than they actually are.

Oh ya I thought the hyperbole was obvious, It’s insane enough there, just wish they would get some common sense acid control, that seems like a real terror.which is not what you said. the goalposts move.

My point was clearly made, banning things doesn’t solve anything and only limits the rights of law abiding citizens. No one is giving their guns up, especially with the authoritarianism/belligerence the establishment has shown over the past few years. Guns are why we didnt look like aussie or Canada during Covid.well, when you can't make your point without exaggerating what does that say about your point?

What?
No firearm rights were 'expanded' lol... simply restored. The New York 'may-issue' permit system was inherently unconstitutional and allowed for corrupt bureaucrats to decide who has rights or not. The supreme court decision in this case was simply saying, "No, you cannot have a 'may-issue' style permit system unless the biased elements and undue burdens are removed," which essentially voids may-issue permit laws as they are inherently biased and place undue burden upon applicants.
Shall-issue permits will remain in place, and don't place undue burdens or biases upon citizens. In Texas I had to get fingerprinted, have a FBI background check, pay a $50 fee, and take 8 hours of training to get my permit. That's perfectly fine, as if I meet those requirements, no government official can deny me my permit; whereas in NY, they had it setup where the majority of law abiding citizens who would qualify for a shall-issue permit were being denied, for no other reason than bureaucratic biases. Hence, may-issue permits are unAmerican, and unconstitutional, because they strip rights from citizens without any due process, without any objectivity, without any sense or reason.
It's a bit disorienting... feeling elation for the restored rights of all New Yorkers (and Californians, etc.), and sadness at the rights stripped from all women across the whole nation. I think I'm in a weird minority in that I'm very pro-abortion yet I'm also very pro-firearm-ownership. I haven't met anyone else who feels that both should be 100% legal.
A day of good news and a day of bad... the universe always has to balance out I guess.
Exactly.I think being pro-guns and pro-abortion makes more sense than the majority. That's a libertarian approach. Pro-guns and anti-abortion is right-wing nutjob approach![]()
So what's your opinion on banning abortion? My point was clearly made, banning things doesn’t solve anything and only limits the rights of law abiding citizens.
Not a fan, but this issue always should have been part of a democratic process, and there is half the country that feels it’s murder. I think women’s over all health will suffer in states that ban first trimester abortion. But this is what the populations of those states want by majority, and the fetal tissue lobby disturbs me to my core.So what's your opinion on banning abortion?
i saw this and was wondering what 9mm he was referring to. could think of one in a defensive/offensive context. tbf he has said some strange shit. i think trump still has him beat, though. the don turned heads anytime he soike everyone was waiting on the trainwrecks... lol fun, though.Biden
