Wow that was dirt cheap for a lb, and yes location affected the price and me being in NJ I was always on the higher end …in 1983 I got my first apartment and sent away for seeds from an ad in the back of HighTimes and bought seeds from Holland, I still remember the name of the place, SSSC which was the Super Sativa Seed Club 10 seeds for $50 and my first crop was sinsemilla ( kill the males as soon as they sexed and clone your mother plants
) Holland was ground zero for the worlds best weed back then with Oregon being the weed Mecca in the states… I feel so old
Most Mexican was mediocre at best, but not all of it. Remember Acapulco Gold? And so-called Panama Red (which was probably Mexican)? Very decent weed.

In the 90’s coke in Ny was around $300 for an 8 ball and but after moving to Phoenix I found it for $125 and it was at least 2x stronger, the furtherest west I ever found white dope was Chicago everything past that was tar ,which was easily found in evert major city ..
