I live near a really cool old abandoned road that has grass growing through the cracks and everything. I'm just waiting for the weather to be halfway decent so I can go take a few pics.

i had just gotten out of the inpatient psychiatric hospital after a suicidal break.

i managed to get myself out of the house to go on a run.

the trees were blooming and the sun was setting. it was just so peaceful.

I took these yesterday..

Ok I downloaded them an hour ago so they don't count, but I was interested and wanted to show people.

I *have* travelled this road -- one way by bus and the other way with a guy driving.

The bus stops occasionally and you can get off, but beyond a certain point they stop doing head-counts and will just leave you there if you don't get back on. This did happen with one guy (who was really annoying lol).

You know, it creeps me out a bit. It's not a road trip I'd want to do again and would never do alone. Not because of any threats but the nothingness and silence out there sends you crazy.

I slept a lot of the way on the bus bc I had noone next to me and I'm small enough to lie down. On the way back the man I was with (my future husband and baby daddy) drove most of the way and I curled up on the passenger seat.

He drove himself from Adelaide to Perth in one go Said he was completely hallucinating by the end, but this guy could drive trucks from Sydney to Perth.

So I didn't have to worry about driving (much). We stopped in the middle of the Nullarbor and walked around. It was so weird. You've never heard silence like this place. There are no trees - "Nullabor". It looks exactly like this..

Note: Australia and the USA are similar in size. Imagine driving across the US but there's *nothing* there
