i was born in Paterson NJ - so about 20 minutes from the GWB - then i lived in Hackensack and a few other places.....but anyway im kinda old, so the Islanders were winning stanley cups when i was a kid in the 80s so that's how i ended up an Isles fan...

In this circumstance, we've had one long running NHL thread, don't think it gets quite enough traffic to justify having multiple. What I'll do is I'll merge this together with it and just name it by the year.
