My doctor has me on a year community treatment order even though they're only 6 months long. Should I mention this to him? My 6 months will be in 2 months

@Airwick abilify will cause you depression and will worsen your anhedonia at end, because it blocks brain almost in same way as invega.
And libido is first that recovers. Just wait 4-12months without any AP and your libido should recover, and your total recovery will be faster, AP like abilify will just slow it down. Also haldol is one of worst AP.
Although most posters in this thread and many on this forum have experience with APs, to my knowledge none of us are trained doctors. As users of these medications, we are all unique and have different metabolisms and different reactions. I've been on the maximum dose of Abilify for over 10 years and it has been a life saver. Abilify is the med that has gotten me closer to baseline than any other AP I've tried. Although I've never had Invega injections, I did take Risperdal injections many years ago and the anhedonia from that was pretty brutal as well.

Abilify never caused me depression, then again I was always on anti-depressants since I started Abilify. After the anhedonia Risperdal pills and injections caused, Abilify was like a walk in the park. Did not affect my libido or sexual functioning like Risperdal either. It's been a few years but I did have some sexual relationships with a couple of girls since starting Abilify. Now I struggle to get out and be social; my lack of sex action has nothing to do with libido. The pandemic didn't help.

In the interest of Harm Reduction, please refrain from telling other posters to avoid APs, even if it's only 4 or 12 months. You don't know their condition and how that might affect them. Some people absolutely need some kind of AP just to function and have some quality of life. I know this is the Invega bitch and moan thread but there are other milder APs out there that can be and are viable alternatives.

@Airwick please consult your prescribing doctor about the potential pros and cons of starting Abilify. If your doctor knows your present condition as well as your previous history, I would value their opinion more than some stranger on the internet.

So do you feel like you've recovered at 9 months? Do you feel emotions again? Can you feel the effects of coffee? Do you feel energy? Is your sleep back to normal?
What dose did you have? I'm 3 & half months off I had loading doses plus 1 shot 75mg
I haven’t recovered per say, more like the symptoms just lessened; slowly. I can’t really get intimate with my emotions and I have brain fog still-24/7. I do have more energy than I used to the first couple of months, like a 5 out of 10. My sleep isn’t at the regular just yet, i still feel restless, agitation, and in relation to not being able to sit still. I literally have no libido and it makes me feel so weird bc I love that part of life. I had the 236 mg I think or something near that + 156 mg loading dose of Invega sustenna. Word of advice take it slow at your own pace, your well-being is the essence of life.

Who is taking care of you?

My family wants to internate me. They think that's what will help me. It's horror. I want to die

What do you tell to your psyquiatrist? They won't believe that is invenga. I have a lot of tension in the meetings. She asks me if I don't work when I spend all day in bed. It requires all of my senses this meetings

Do you take any neuroleptics? I should take Risperdal but I don't. I guess that slows recovery if any. As I said I am very depressed

here are some supplements that will help you if youre new.
get products with p-glycoproteins in them, which pull toxic materials from the blood brain barrier. Invega is toxic, hence why p-gp works.

St johns wort(in pill or liquid form) take between 800 mg and 3500 mgs a day. It has p-gp in it. It is also a natural MAOI, so dont take it in high dosages with psychoactives or you risk serotonin syndrome.

CDB buds have p-gp as well. Smoking this well help and it doesnt have psychoactive effects.

N ACETYL CYSTEIN(NAC) POWDER

Also buy gluthathione with it.

both removes toxins.

L theanine for mild relaxation.

Drink lots of tea

R-ala cyclodextrin

Drink lots of fluids. Dont eat lots of junk food.
