Three Kings (1999)

Starring Mark Wahlberg, George Clooney, Ice Cube, and Spike Jonez. Interesting blend of dark humor and anti-war sentiment set against the day after the first Gulf War ended.

Decent, but not worth the two hour plus run time. Would have been better with about a half hour shaved off.

6.5/10

^^Hotel Transylvania is spectacular, tbf! 😍

Black rain.😎

Yep!.. some late-80s, Hollywood NY cop meets Yakuza, R. Scott, chintz.

Joy Ride( 2001) JJ. Abramas .

"Favourite scene from Joyride"

...one guess as to MY favourite scene from that movie?

[if you've read ANY of my posts on this site and answer that wrong SHAME ON YOU, HOW OBVIOUS DO I HAVE TO BE?!]

Pontypool, an interesting twist and unique type of zombie movie. Leans towards psychological horror much more than your typical zombie movie. Its not terribly scary, but really cool in its take on the genre. Very good for a low budget movie shot entirely on one small location. Solid 3.5/5

Worth watching for sure.

Here is the full movie on youtube, free:

... that's just a randomYT post btw; as I didn't want to post trailer (as it spoils show).

Ooohh, let me think?! ...hmmm...the credits? 😉

... obviously, the gore-tastic bit! 🤪

Ronin ( 1998 ) 7/10
Drive (2011) 8.5/10
Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
Mobile Suit Gundam 1&2 (1981) 6.5/10

What was your score for little miss sunshine?

I believe I've seen it, the one where the grandpa is addicted to heroin right? I enjoyed it.

Lol I was nodding (no pun intended?) and on mobile, my bad!

I'd rate it an 8/10, I can see why it ranks high on classic film lists now. Going into it, my wife and I weren't sure what to expect. But neither of us has watched a film that has made us laugh out loud so much in some time. The dope addicted grandpa and their issues with the VW Bus were the highlights for me. Steve Carrel and Paul Dano's performances were fantastic too.

A very relatable film about loss and life not living up to our expectations. I'm surprised I hadn't watched it sooner, very worthwhile.

Some documentary on Al Jazeera about war in Ukraine.Cinematography was on high level, but like most gives you just one side of the conflict.I guess the truth about this will arize some day....Oh yes-Anihilation(2018).it likes me,but the idea is taken from "Stalker"-the zone in which strange things are happened and nobodys go out.

Jackass Forever (2022) - 3 Stars - I liked it, but (maybe this is just me being desensitized) it seemed less gross and less dangerous than I expected. Still a fun watch.

Lesson of the Evil (2012) -4.5 stars - loved this Asian horror!

The Outfit

The Outfit is a decent suspense movie with very interesting aesthetics that are not too dissimilar to ASMR. The plot twists become too many at some point, however the ending is still satisfying. A good portion of the movie I felt like was filler though.

6/10
