we were all shuffled out into the hallway and made to curl up in a ball against the wall.

Remember one thing Putin does not have his finger on the nuclear button - his troops do and they may not follow the rantings of a failing dictator who took far too many steroids and is now paying the price with ill health...etc
 
Its sketchy as fuck shit for sure, I'm not so sure about nuclear though.... yes the threat exists, but soon as one goes off the rest of the world's nukes will most likely go off, and its game over for every fucker.

The planet could do with a reset in my eyes like but still, not quite like that, more the opposite, ie a break ect but WAR = MONEY in shady ways.

I am re-assuring myself with this thought - anyone told to launch the missile will have a family and friends, and know that the enemy missiles will come straight back at them if they press launch. I read that UK bomber crews during the cold war later said that if given the order they wouldn't have dropped the bomb.

I guess there is also a chance that Putin's nukes are in as good a state as the rest of his military and they won't even get out of the silo.

Surprised Putin took such a move - always thought he was a pole smoker but you dont usually start stupid wars after 22 years in charge. I would force him to teabag me. FOR HOURS.

Or the opposite? Energy self-sufficiency has never looked so good. Wouldn't surprise me if there is a rush for non-renewables in the short/ medium term though.
 
Everyones gas bill is going to be 20 grand a year by the time renewables are up and running. Everyone over 50 will have frozen solid. Ive got 6 !ayers on, the dog on my legs and the cat on my chest.

They say Putin got triple jacked on a crack candle and ended up on the jessop jessop jessop. He needs bullfucking by the man with the biggest cory in England.

putin got into power by helping to start a horrendous war, i guess he wants the symmetry of going out to one, cos its not doing him any favours with the russian people. even his rich friends, now they can't travel anywhere and are losing money. it makes no sense if he wants to stay in power. i'm not even sure how it makes sense if he's not planning on staying in power. like why does he care so much about ukraine?

maybe there is something i'm missing cos in general i avoid the news as it doesn't do much for my mental health.

Well you could argue russia started in ukraine, the kievan rus, as it was once known. But you are right, putin's actions don't make any sense. Kind of ironic that we let russia into the global system and it has become even more of a threat than the late USSR was. I'd rather de-esclate a situation with gorbachov than putin, who is a serial liar and doesn't strike as someone who will back down.
