Me and the fiancé just finished a Harry Potter binge been a good few years since my last 😂 I think they get better every time I watch them tbh. I did fall asleep halfway through the last one though, because I had ate a 500mg edible a couple hours before turning it on.

Nightcrawler was great, a really good anti-hero movie...some nice social commentary too which is subtle but definitely noticeable

I didn't watch this recently
But the flick " Life " best syfi movie I've seen in forever I watch it first getting off dope on to subs
Highly recommend
.
And im not a big super famous actors just a good flick,

Huh... I ranked it pretty low on my "obvious Alien ripoff" list. Life was so bad I fell asleep both in theaters when it came out and a few months ago when I tried to give it a second chance.

Been meaning to start doing this thread again!

Cannibal Ferox (AKA Make Them Die Slowly) (1981) - 4 Stars - I've always loved the Italian cannibal films of the 70s and early 80s. I've seen Cannibal Ferox probably twice before, but this is the first time I've managed to find the completely uncut version. This may be the worst of them for real animal cruelty/torture/snuff, but that aside it's definitely one of the better offerings from the sub-genre.

Sleepless (2001) - 3.5 Stars - another good giallo from Dario Argento. Nice n gory.

Ex-Drummer (2007) - 3.5 stars - Unusual, disturbing movie (but that's why I liked it).

Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001) - 4 stars - probably my favourite movie I've seen this year so far. Excellent dialogue, some beautiful cinematography and characters that felt real and I actually cared about.

Dude... yes. I'm surprised how underrated this film seems to be lately. It launched the careers for both the protagonists (one of them ended up in Rogue One I think) and was a fantastic film to boot.

I didn't much care for "Ex Drummer"...it seemed to wallow in its own dark nihilism but not in a clever or fun way (such as fellow Belgian dark comedy "Man Bites Dog", for example)

Ever check out "Bad Boy Bubby"? That's one of my favorite transgressive dark comedies, if you haven't seen it I'd highly recommend it

Yeah, I preferred Man Bites Dog to Ex-Drummer, too.

Haha, Bad Boy Bubby was certainly very strange. Still can't decide if I thought it was good or not. I enjoyed it, though, for sure!

Always wanted to see ferox, and love argento
N Giallo city of the living dead is the best it's and suspieria n inferno I know the first is fuchie

Black Summer, i like zombie genre movies, series etc, but flipping really fast and semi-intelligent cannibalistic un dead humans actually scare me , but yeah pretty damn good watch

Paris is Burning (1990) - 3.5 stars - interesting documentary about the ballroom/drag scene in New York City during the late 80s.

Malignant (2021) - 4 stars - Another really good horror movie from James Wan. The first half plays like an homage to giallo movies and it has an interesting twist. I like it.

The Love Witch (2016) - 4 stars - I have no idea how to describe this one, lol. It kinda defies genrefication. They did an amazing job of making it look like it was made in the 60s, particularly the titular witches makeup and general aesthetic. Me gusto.

My Friend Dahmer (2017) - 3 stars - Good enough to keep my interest even though nothing ever actually happens (by which I mean it's about Jeffrey Dahmer, but the whole thing takes place before his first victim). NGL the guy playing Dahmer was so hot, I totally would have risked going home with him. Like please-spit-in-my-mouth-snap-my-neck-and-eat-my-fucking-corpse-daddy hot.
