Frumious Bandersnatch
the anti vax conspiracies i've seen regarding menstruation are a little more extreme than a few hours delay..... i don't think this is corroboration of any of the claims i've seen in this area. but if you're desperate for a point given how sparse they must be, take it.Chalk up another one in favor of "anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorists"
literally everything disrupts menstruation. i'm an extreme example because i was very underweight until my early 30s so just didn't menstruate at all for a long time. that's a concern because it leads to irreversible health problems. drinking disrupts it. stress. too much food. a whole host of medical problems. a slight variation, less than 1 day according to this study, in cycle length is meaningless if overall fertility or general health is not affected. plus, the vaccinated individuals get the massive plus of being less at risk to covid.
this is basically nothing, from the paper: "Although statistically significant, the overlaid histograms show a cycle length change distribution in vaccinated individuals that is roughly equivalent to that in unvaccinated individuals (Fig. 2A, left), and the proportion of individuals who experienced a clinically significant change in cycle length of 8 days or more did not differ by vaccination status (4.3% for unvaccinated vs 5.2% for vaccinated, P=.181; data not shown)"- sensationalism from the daily mail. quelle surprise.
