When do dreams about smoking crack go away? I'm new btw

Eventually.. Depends on a number of factors but they do go away. Fuck I used to have those dreams constantly and now Cocaine isn’t nearly as much of an issue. I don’t smoke crack these days but don’t have a problem sniffing it a couple times a year. Just hang on, it’ll slowly get better.

You're doing great by coming this far.

Those dreams WILL subside eventually, but it sounds like you probably need to work on your inner demons first.
 
welcome to BL and well done for getting some clean time under your belt!!

for me the dreams got significantly less frequent quite quickly, dropping off almost completely after about 6 months. around the same time i lost my residual psychosis. i still get them from time to time and they still ruin my day but they aren't as bad or as intense as they used to be. now when i get them it tends to be when i'm struggling with my mental health.

Congrats on the three weeks. Fuck it's hard to put the pipe down and you have a great start. Look to the future. I found that not wanting to go to jail anymore was good enough for me to step away. lol
It may be a minute but they will lessen and possibly stop eventually. I have the dreams once in a great while now but these days I kinda enjoy them cause it's like a free high. I know this may sound like crazy talk but over time I found that putting a good spin on things that "bother" me makes it a little less of an issue.
Do you have a support system (I hate that term for some reason)? Any pets? Job? Is there any exercise in this undertaking?
You really do have a great start on this I hope you get to where you wish.

I myself am a former iv heroin user. Four years clean. Though not as often I still have those dreams that i'm about to use and just as I hit a vein, I wake up. Like every single time the dream will end right there.
I've been on Methadone maintainence the last four years, so that could be a contributing factor. But either way, the dreams are much less frequent than they used to be. So I'm guessing, and hoping, yours will be too.

i've had them where i use but its always shit. i have a lot of experience of shit drugs to draw on lol.

i once jolted awake not cos my brain was preventing me from getting a decent hit of crack but cos dream me had a shit pipe of crack and realised now my dad is on my bank account he would see that i went out to immediately withdrew more money (to get some better crack) after another withdrawal, and thus know i was using.
 
Something strange, when I used to have those dreams it was never me actually getting high but more so me finding large quantities, almost about to use, etc…. Now that it’s been years since the worst days of addiction, on the very rare occasion I do have a drug dream (almost always MDMA or some psychedelic now, instead of crack or heroin) I actually get high in them now! I never got high once in my drug dreams before.

One of my latest ones, now that I remember, was actually DMT. I blasted off and had an experience in my dreams, fucking wild.

What's your secret man?

I find it totally impossible to get high in my dreams.
 
At least from 3-6 months. It's all psychological anyway. When u stop craving crack so bad the dreams will stop

I wish I knew! I think it comes down to back then I was always on the hunt and these days that’s never a worry. That said I do have dreams of constantly losing or getting my stash stolen lol.

Best part is I’ve actually woken up still feeling it for a minute, with the DMT experience I was tripping for like 10-15secs after I came out. The brain is a weird thing.

Edit- Also while I’m no angel on triggering posts we probably should keep any positive crack comments (if there is many lol) to ourselves.

Dudeeee same thing happens to me, I could be cooking up crack in my dream and when I'm bout to smoke something goes wrong. Especially , someone a close relative comes in and I wake up sweating.

Hahaha G, TBH I could smoke crack on my dreams sounds like fun but ACTUALLY DOING IT IRL would feel disgusting.
 
I've had that happen I've literally awoken freaking the hell out searching my pockets thinking I relapsed. Very vivid drug dreams. Especially with crack for some reason.

Yeah mine went away they will in a few months most likely
