Some local crack addict I know from way back just dropped me 600mg of these things, now it's been ages since I've taken it's far weaker brother Gabapentin but I've been told over & over what I now got is a whole other ball-game, he told me to take the full 600mg but by my logic that would be equal to 1000-1200mg of Gabapentin?

What's a good dose & what the hell is gonna happen to me?
 

Usual Adult Dose for Neuropathic Pain​

Initial dose: 75 mg orally twice a day
-Increase dose to 150 mg orally twice a day within 1 week based on efficacy and tolerability; for insufficient pain relief after 2 to 3 weeks, may be increase dose up to 300 mg orally 2 times a day as tolerated
Maintenance dose: 150 to 600 mg per day in divided doses
Maximum dose: 600 mg per day

600mg is a solid recreational dose. But as alwasy YMMV. You could take 300mg and wait for it to kick in (takes up 60min) and then decide if you want to feel it more. It will work either way and you're not wasting the drug if you take it in two divided doses in short intervals.

I would assume most people (me included) find that 600mg is the sweet spot, unless you're already tolerant MOFO.

You 100% sure about " you're not wasting the drug if you take it in two divided doses in short intervals."?

Also how different is the high on these? I assume it's just way more potent than it's weaker brother?
 
600mg is overkill if you’ve not used this and you’ve only used gabapentin.

150mg on an empty stomach and leave it 2 hours and see how you feel. Then try another 150mg. It does take a while for pregabalin to kick.

I guarantee if you took the full 600mg you’d be all over the place.

Definitely do not mix with alcohol.

600mg pregabalin is equivalent to the max dose of gabapentin which from memory is around 3600mg gabapentin.

Nah, you wouldn't be dead, just very messy. I used to mix it with methadone and vodka (not advising this of course) and I looked a fuckin state. Tolerance builds very rapidly as well and it gives you insane munchies...

You wouldn’t be dead but you would indeed be a mess and it’s a total waste of pregabalin.

Honestly try the 150mg, I guarantee you’ll feel something from it if you’re not abusing gabapentinoids.

Don't know Mrs Diz but this is definitely the best advice - professional asvice I know farmzy has had other drug problems and may be mixing intoxicants.

He said he has only used gabapentin before a long time ago. Pregabalin is for sure much stronger and as someone who is prescribed it, even if I take a couple months off it 150mg definitely does work for me. Although I build tolerance super fast thereafter.

Yeah but you’re used to taking it right?

It’s his first time, with only ever trying gabapentin before.

150mg is a perfect starting dose to gauge reaction. It takes a while for it to kick in so if nothing happening another 150mg will do the trick.

People who haven’t used it make the common mistake of dosing too much thinking it’s not working for them to be hit with it all at once and being completely all over the place on it.

You know way more about this than I do Diz, so is pregabalin a prodrug? I.e. does it need to be metabolised to an active compound before it has an effect?

I used to jump in at 1200mg and got royally fucked up, but I've heard that frequent smaller doses are more effective than a large initial dose.

Exactly right. (With no tolerance even 75mg would be just fine for a first dose, and to figure out what it's all about)

And also take into account what it's going to be combined with. Pregabalin is said to combine nicely with Opis, although the usual HR caveats apply.

The recreational effects are relaxation and disinhibition, loosely comparable to benzos or alcohol. Very similar really, except pregabs increase musical appreciation whilst benzos diminish it. Also Pregab increases the horn moderately, it's distantly related to GBL/GHB after all, but no where near in the same league of intensity.

Doses of more that 300mg start increasing anxiety in my case, and 600mg plus, gives me strong feelings of dread and pending doom. It feels like a bad trip to me, but minus the psychedelia. I don't think this is a very common side effect of larger doses, but it's not completely unique to me either.

There's meant to be some snide Pregabalin fakes doing the rounds a the moment too, so need to be careful of that too.

yes, yes and yes. I agree with everything you said. Even if taking 300mg all at once might not completely floor him it still is a huge possibility just waiting for to happen. You're absolutely right. Better play it safe than sorry.
 
i prefwer the indian SIGNATURE brand 300mgs i only take them once a monthish n i get bolloxed off them,i think they're very toxic 4 the body but less is more with these babies
