PLEASE HELP! HOW DO I SAFELY GET BACK ON MY SUBOXONE??

PLEASE HELP!
I was clean for 4 years from heroine with the help of Suboxone but unfortunately I relapsed 3 months ago and now I'm having to use every 4 hours and I cant make it to the safe waiting period of 14-16 hours between last use to safely take my suboxone without accidentally going into precipitated withdrawal which I've done before and it was the worst thing I've ever experienced! I do have quite a few 8mg pure bueprenorphine pills without the naloxone. My question is if I wait 4 hrs after my last heroin use can I safely take a dose of the pure Bupe without going into precipitated withdrawal? All I wanna do is kick and get back on my subs soo bad! If anyone has been in this predicament before and has gotten clean or back on subs and can offer some insight I'm all ears! Please help! I don't have insurance otherwise I would go to medication assisted detox.
 
No, do not try this you will go into withdrawal (its not the naloxone but the buprenorphine itself).

What you might want to do is start taking tiny doses of buprenorphine with your heroin (after decreasing your dose as much as possible). Then you stop the heroin and transition to the buprenorphine entirely.

Look up "buprenorphine bernese method". I don't have experience with it myself.
 
Idk where you got 14-16 hours being the safe range for inducting suboxone but that is wayyyy off. I personally wait at LEAST 24 hours, but usually tough it out to about 30 hours. To be safe. Because precipitated withdrawals suck!!!

In the past I had waited 16 hours and it worked but I hadn't been using for very long only a few days, and I've been smoking H every 4 hrs for 3 months now so you are probably right! How did u tough it out for 24-30 hours man? That sounds soo miserable! I've also heard from people what works is to dose yourself up with a benzos like Xanax and it will knock u out and get you to your 24-30 hour waiting period... Have u heard of this?
 
If your in the USA our dope is all fentanyl, which means you need to wait literally 96 HOURS 4 days to avoid precipitated.

I just took a sub 36 hours later and went into a coma and almost died.
 
I've pretty much never had an issue with precepts waiting only 12 to 24 hours, but only small small dose of bupe.

I regularly mix buprenorphine, poppy pods, and kratom, I dose the bupe either simultaneously, or two hours later, or whenever I want.

The trick, IME, is to slowly increase the dose of bupe, don’t take the whole pill at once, there is 8000 mcg per pill, I would say start with 100 mcg (1.25% of the pill), then take more 30-60 minutes later if it feels ok, increase in increments of 100-250 mcg at a time, it’s ok if it takes you a week to get up to a whole pill

Also, I feel like kratom s’mores physically addictive to me than buprenorphine as long as I don’t pass 1-1.5 mg a day.

I don’t have as large of a habit as you, but this information should still apply to you, you just have to be more careful than me and draw out the induction more.

Also, it should Ben ok to keep taking your heroin or fet or w/e it is while your increasing the bupe, star lowering the dose of heroin slowly once you get up to 1-2 mg of buprenorphine a day
 
I just want to share my most recent experience with bupe. I was using IV “heroin”(really it’s 99% fent or brorphine or whatever the hell they are selling you) every few hours for about a year until I totally ran out of savings and went to a sub clinic. Got 8/2mg bupe/naloxone films. I used my last bit of junk and maybe two hours later I wanted to go to bed so I thought I’d take some suboxone. The doctor warned me that I need to wait at least 24 but preferably 48 hours from my last dose of junk to take the bupe. I didn’t think much of it because I’d been on suboxone before and never had an issue. Well after doing a five minute search to see if it was possible, I decided to IV half of a sub strip(4mg). What a mistake. About 20 seconds later I knew something was wrong. This tingling wave ran through my whole body and two minutes later I was puking like I haven’t puked since the time I was 13yo and drank half a bottle of tequila. I thought I was going to die. I didn’t connect the dots so I thought I was ODing somehow. My roommate called an ambulance and I went to the ER because I was totally incapacitated. I wasn’t ODing, it was the forced withdrawal from the Suboxone. The next two days were a complete hell. The worst withdrawals I’ve ever experienced. I went back to the junk on day three to get back to normal but when that ran out I was scared to take the subs again so I went two days cold turkey(more hell) and then took a tiny piece of bupe. It still put me into those very specific feeling forced withdrawals but it was nothing close to as bad as the first time. Long story short, if you’ve been on fent for a while you need to wait at least 3 days from your last hit before you take Suboxone or it’s not going to help and you’re going to get sick. Cut to a week later and I again tried shooting the bupe because sublingual wasn’t working for me. I shot a fraction of what I did the first time and it was okay. No withdrawals. I’ve increased the dose significantly since then and haven’t had any problems but I wouldn’t say there’s much or any euphoria. I does satisfy my needle itch though so I’m still doing it for now. Haven’t plugged it but wanna try that soon because I need to stop with the stick. Sorry that was so long but wanted to share. There was a lot of good info in this thread, thanks!

About the Xanax helping, absolutely. The hardest part for me with withdrawals is the inability to sleep. Just laying there writhing and sweating through my bed for days is the nightmare. It helps with the restless legs/general inability to get comfortable too. Take a benzo or two and a shot of liquor if you can stomach it and just sleep through the withdrawals. It really does help. I don’t take benzos regularly anymore so 2mg is usually enough to put me to sleep for the night. Your dose may vary. Hope that helps.

Kratom is good for smaller habits or if you’ve already been withdrawling for a couple days, but at that point you can take a sub, I’m sure it will help a little bit that first 24hr but you’ll still prolly be in hell..kratom has a place in the toolbox but is not by any means a cure all..ime I find kratom more useful on the back end of a sub taper, take sub for a week or so then switch to kratom for a week or so

But to the OP, as negrogesic suggested a slow induction while still using your doc does work. You’ll want to start off at around .25-.50mg of sub for 2-3 days then bump it up to .50-1.0mg for 2-3 days ect ect. From what I understand the idea is to slowly build up the amount of suboxone in your system until your taking enough suboxone to fill up your receptors , obviously you’ll want to try and decrease your heroin usage as you increase your sub dose to make the switch more painless..Iv used this method to get back on subs successfully before, but still do the cold turkey for 24hrs before takin subs most the time, Its just faster that way, good luck

Hmm. I never tried to take a small enough dose of subs while in heroin

U never go into Pre withdrawal? Idk why but I’ve been taking subs for many years. Many many years. And now when u take opiates for say a couple weeks and wanna go back on subs. Even if I wait 48 hours from my last dose. If I take a sub I start sweating like crazy. It’s like it takes forever. To get back into my subs… wondering if I’m taking to high if a dose of subs when I first start my dosage. I’ll wait like 24-36 hours after my last hit of heroin. Wait till I start feeling shitty. Take a sub and bam. I’m sweating and basically withdrawing way worse now…. Why.
Just grabbed Kratom to see if that helps better with withdrawals. Let’s hope.

I dunno, Iv done the on and off suboxone cycle many times as I’m sure most have but suboxone always helps, if I wait 15hr it won’t help as much as if I wait 24hr and that won’t help as much if I wait 36hr and so on, but it always helps at least little, fortunately Iv never been thrown into pw tho
