It has this odd delayed cough reaction which is weird, but after vaping 1/4 of a gram I had this heaviness and pain in my lungs/chest which lasted about a few hours.

It's a bit hard to explain but it felt like something I should NOT be putting in my lungs.

I'm not the only one complaining of the chest pain either.

I just want to know wtf is going on with that

Thanks for the description.

The degrading to toxic ketenes theory could hold some water to it seeing as the act of vaping doubles as a way to degrade the THC. This means they would be present as soon as it's vaped.

Yeah, but then again how would they be stupid enough to mass produce this?

I think it's something else. Hopefully... Otherwise some people are about to get really hurt

Who knows.

I've stopped smoking everything and try to minimize my dabbing as much as possible. I'm happy with tinctures for the most part and have decided that the less drugs I consume the better. Perhaps this acetate would be healthier as tincture/edible. I won't be trying this new cannabinoid any time soon, if ever. I'm sitting squarely in my phytocannabinoid corner for now.

Glad you had fun, aside from the lung pain. Stay safe.

I’ve got a degree in biochemistry, worked for 27 yrs in a lab and almost got my Master’s in pharmacology. Short of conducting animals trials, there is little that can be done to assess safety in humans. Isolated one off in vitro studies can be done; but until there is safety data I’m treating this as an unresearched cannabinoid/noid/spice variant. I’m well aware of how similar this compound is to ‘normal’ THC - but unless I see CB1/2 binding data I ain’t touching it, and doing so constitutes a significant risk in my opinion.

That's interesting. I wonder if the acetate derivative has already been described in the literature. And what about other synthetic THC (or CBD) derivatives?
Too lazy to look it up right now.

To my knowledge the single study done on this compound was an animal study back in the 70s. I can't find anything else.
 
Frankly the high from this stuff is magical. It almost has narcotic like euphoria to it. It feels like weed with all the clunky slow stoney taken out.

Definitely sticking to oral for now until I know why it makes my lungs hurt. Shit is strong. Dosed .2g distillate (cut) orally and took a 12 hour nap. Woke up at 1am wondering what dimension I'm in.

These products were mass produced by "reputable" companies and just hit every headshop in America. It's hard for me to believe this would be released after the vitamin E fiasco if it had the same dangers?

Still, I found what it did to my lungs alarming, enough for me not to want to vape it again.

Man I can't get over how much I love this stuff. I certainly love it way more than d9. It's literally like if you took out all the things I don't like about cannabis and enhanced the good parts. It's so clean I keep feeling like it's a narcotic.

It makes me crave cigarettes, typically something only narcotics do 😲

Agreed, which is why I'm so curious as this is flooding the US market and there are many thousands of people using it and likely assuming it's as harmless as delta 8.

I have a feeling the culprit may be the MCT oil these carts are cut with. Or something else. Unsure.

Thanks. Sounds really good ( way better than the flower I am getting ) But you make it sound so delicious that I am intrigued. And seeing as weed and kratom are my only choices in life now { and kratom is getting kind of boring ) I may have to look into this for a treat now and then.

It's great indeed but i was a little overexcited at first. Tolerance builds suspiciously fast. There are some odd/concerning things about it, at least the stuff going around right now.

But I loved it enough to go buy another cart. Sitting on it now until I know more and tolerance goes down.

Use it orally of you do try it. That seemed like the better way to dose it anyways, and seems to hit faster than regular THC

I have never done a cart or vaped THC. Do I have to have a vaper thingy first so that I can put the cart in it ?

And by orally, you mean put it to my lips and vape it right. Because i don't do that other oral. :ROFLMAO:

Lol yes, to use a cart you just need a battery.

Where's your mind at! By oral I meant eat the distillate instead of vaping it 😂

Oh alright. Geez your'e no fun. I wanted to blow big vape clouds like i see everyone do that vapes nicotine.

I'm gonna check it out on my next trip to the vape shop ( I get my tobacco there so maybe tomorrow )
