It's either "get the vaccine or get covid and get really sick, on a ventilator, or die" in your world... Nothing else happens in that world...it's an either/or world

i have never once claimed that. if you had been paying attention you'd have seen posts where i explicitly discuss other potental outcomes of infection by sars-cov2.

and what's the most likely outcome?

1. You don't even catch covid
2. If by chance you do catch covid, you either are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms

but when the chances of having an adverse reaction to a vaccine are presented, these are the excuses in this thread:

1. it's better than catching covid
2. the chances of an adverse reaction are really small, so id rather take my chances
3. because i care about the planet
4. i carry my brain in my lunchbox and i just wanted a chance to win a million dollars in the state lottery
 
I honestly don't understand why in the fuck we are in lockdown again.

The vulnerable people in this city have had more than enough time to get vaccinated. It's not difficult. I got the vaccination on day 2 of the rollout.

Hardly anyone that I work with bothered to get it. That includes support workers and people with disabilities. There was zero coordinated effort... and now the entire city is locked down again to ensure the vulnerable people are safe?

What the fuck is going on?

At some point - soon - they're going to have to say enough is enough and stop locking down.

yea i think hiding from it just prolongs it

if the hospitals were too full, i can see, but if that's not the case, i dont think that's the right decision
 
its not locking down to get rid of would be stupid then it would explode. The vaccine only limits serve cases aswell and this new variant from india is bypassing vaccines aswell. It was smart rather they have it explode and fuck every one

I was in the city today. As soon we walked out of the train station, I saw dozens of cops questioning people. When I got back (an hour or so later) there were over 100 officers and more than a dozen cars.

A woman - who refused to wear a mask - was dragged away in handcuffs. I heard a cop tell someone else (who was also being arrested) they can contact their lawyer.

I wonder how many people were arrested today.

It's gotten to the point that it's absolutely insane now. During the old lockdowns, I defended the government's actions because an outbreak would inevitably mean that more vulnerable people would die. But - now - vulnerable citizens have had ample opportunity (3 months) to get vaccinated.

So, now, our lives have to be totally fucked because people are lazy? A big part of my daughter's life has been during lockdown periods. For a long time, she wasn't allowed to see her grandparents. What's the fucking reason for this insanity?

the deaths from blood clots int he UK due to vaccines totals 7. deaths from covid are at 128k. honestly 7 deaths, while tragic, is just noise in comparison to that.

Right - but don't pay attention to any of those possible side effects, and don't pay attention to VAERS since anybody can say anything there, and don't pay attention to any negative talk towards these shots because then it causes hesitancy and we don't want people to become hesitant - we just want them to do what we tell them to do
